    Lower price...$10 less.

I still haven't installed mine and I just realized there's a plate for better support.

I have a 6" RAM arm coming out to hold my iPad over the edge of the dash just above the Stereo and it does not block my view. However this is not the most sturdy set up. Will it be a problem? Don't know but I do know the plates on the inside of the dash really beefs up the rigidity of the dash. For instance if I have my set up installed without the plate and hold the RAM arm and move it you can see the dash moving (110 degrees here in Arizona now) but you put that plate on under and it really makes it a lot more stiff.

This is by no means fault of ICS's product, this is awesome! It is just my requirement of needing a longer arm which will always amplify any and all play you may have in the system. ICS_Plate-1.jpg

What length arm would you reccomend to get it over the dash to mount my phone?

I’d be curious if someone could leave some measurements for this product. I own a Gen 2 and have been thinking of trying this mount out in the space on the dash on the Gen 2.

The longest one they have. I removed mine because of the vibration40BDD2C4-7D69-4BB3-9F01-EB941485676A.jpg

You removed the ICS mount or the long ram arm? I want the rago mount like yours but I'm only getting this mount to hold my phone.

Both, once I replaced the ICS mount I no longer needed the long arm. Whichever you decide on is an expensive choice just for a phone holder. Hondo Garage has holders that mount to the vents that are a fraction of the cost

Don't go RAM. It's garbage. The vibration Tony talks about comes from the arm to rubber ball interface. A friend of mine bought the 67D arms after we complained to each other about the shaking on trails. It's worlds better. 67D is metal to metal, so there's no deflection of any rubber. I will buy 67D arms, but there are more pressing truck needs right now.

Thanks for the reminder about the Hondo...I just ordered one. Pretty slick option.

Yes they are much better. Already had the Ram’s but looking at the mounting options there is nothing close the the edge of the dash. That is what caught my attention to the Rago path

@azTony - any issues with the Rago mount not having a support plate under the dash?

Post #64 here shows my under the dash mounting plate from my ICS setup I used to have. It just modified it to use the same hole pattern

Yes - saw that thanks. Didn't know if you ran the Rago without it to begin with. Regardless - I plan on doing the same and have the plate coming from ICS now. Thanks.

Anyone have a CB mounted to this? And if so does it leave any room for a ball to be mounted for something else? Or is the surface just not that big
