How would these springs handle riding around empty most of the time and then loading up with a couple dirt bikes and camping gear on the weekend? Option 2 seems like a decent compromise but looks like a lot of lift if the bed is empty.

I have looked at their website, looking for some real world experiences. How is ride with option 2 and ~600 lbs, how is ride when empty.

My empty is still +400 lbs, loaded is 500-600 total.

Not sure I’ve seen anyone running option 2 unloaded.

Even option 1 is going to be better than the factory. This leaf pack is way beefier than the stock one. Personally, I’d start on 1 and switch to 2 if 1 isn’t enough after some miles. Changing the pack isn’t that difficult.

im running option 2 with 400-500 lbs constant load. I think option 1 with no extra weight would be great. I’m a huge fan of this leaf pack and you can change it down the road if you need to.

Does anyone have the shorter spring clips and a couple spare shims? (mine was missing some) I bought the truck on option 3 and want to take it back to option 2, Icon lists the hardware kit as 158509H but I don't see that for sale anywhere.

And to those who said it's "easy" I don't know about that! It's a fun job for sure.

You could install as is and add a shim later

Next question, one leaf in this pack is thicker than the rest, set at option 3 with all 9 leafs in. Is that the leaf I pull to make it into option 2 or does that make it option 1? It is the third from the top just under the two wrapped end springs. Pulled the thick one and lost 3" of lift from option 3.... this is with coach builder +1 shackles as well. Leafs are now flat static with bumper weight.
    20200202_135755.jpg

I did solve the shim problem though. Still need shorter spring clips.

The thin leaf is option 1
The thick leaf is option 2
    Both leafs are option 3

Yep. Thank you! Confirmed with previous owner. The directions read well going from 1 to 2 to 3 but going backwards from 3 to 2 you pull the 4th leaf down since you've already added the extra thick leaf.

Looks like I accidentally option 1'ed my truck. Back to it tomorrow to get it right.

I have the RXT leaf pack and cannot get an answer from anyone regarding placement of the extra leaf. I am using "Option 3"... I put it exactly where the instructions say to, but its a little shorter than the next one under it, making it look like it doesn't belong there, but one under it. Can you clarify this placement is correct?

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
Im in option two that is what it says in the instructions. If you message Adrian from icon on here or SDHQ I’m sure they can verify. Also what lift do you have in front

I stacked mine by length. Also make sure they are facing the right direction, I had one in backwards at first. The count in the instructions was goofy if I remember right from when I did mine.

Ran with stock shocks for a year then replaced with RXT shock
Decked system loaded is between 5-600 lbs
Sometimes I feel a little hoppy in back but the load capacity ride is definitely worth it
Bed hop happens try and not drive on those roads
Don’t know if this is any help
    I love how it drives

I run them on the beach in OBX. They are firm, but not hateful. I like them, they do still flex giving it a decent ride. To me its just right, not too firm, but not mushy either.

I should have, I followed the directions, and they came out looking a little weird. They're definitely oriented right, just not in the correct order IMO

Right now, Im on stock leafs at 100k. I have upgraded to fox and camburg UCA and Shocks and really don't haul to much. So I was very intrested in this set; Since it seems to be adjustable to weight later on. Thanks for the reply. I mainly use my truck as a daily and offroad with under 400 pounds of weight.

Did it chnge the ride quality at all? I'd liek to reorganize mine but if its for no real gain, other than looking right, I can put it off for a little while.

with the added weight I have, I’d say it rides stock like. I definitely notice the weight way less than before I did them

Just went from option 1 to option 3 yesterday. Was a super PITA. Didn’t realize you needed a new pin through the center of the leafs? I used whatever one was in there. Also realized the place I had do the install like 3 years ago used my old Toyota u bolts. No idea where the icon ones are now. Need to get them ASAP. Is that pin an issue?
