Thank you for your info. How is the ride quality on Option 3?
My springs get delivered Monday…and I ordered Coachbuilder +1 shackles.
Currently I have factory leaf’s with +3 shackles just like you had.
I am very undecided on which shackles and what “option” to go with!

So far the ride is good. have not been offroad yet. better than the stock springs. just feels comfortable. yeah not a good description... remember for me it is bed load weight >500lbs toss in tools recovery gear and a cooler....gets >650 real fast

SAGE, thanks for all the info…I have a cap, rack, expedition one rear bumper with spare tire swing out…so I’m looking around 650 lbs too!
    I am running 35” tires.
One last question…what lift are you running in the front? 3” I assume?

Ok so I went and measured today appx 24 center hub to fender up front and appx 27 in back. So about plus 1.5 inches in the rear and minus 1 up front with C4 bumper, warn evo vr 12ks and lights. guess I need to replace my front coils with something with a higher spring rate....

Ok, so at option 3 with 500 lbs, 1.5” from springs, 1.5” from +3 shackle.
As mine stands 24” in front, 25” in rear.
Hoping with Westcott I gain an inch in front…and need about 2” in back, which could work out with option 3 and Coachbuilder +1. Looking for about 1.5” of rake.

The lift is a preload spring collar and a top shim, for 1.5” total lift
I have the Coachbuilder PRO kit now…only got .75” of lift…then down to .25” after C4 bumper.

So I took measurements today…I am 24” in the front…24.5” in the back. I understand that’s “level”, but it looks like it’s drooping.
Let’s shoot for 25 front and 26.5 in rear!

Has anyone else experienced the driver side settling more than the passenger side? On mine, the driver side is about 1/2" lower than the passenger. I am running the pack the way they came (option 1).

Yea my experience has been 3/4” drivers side lean in front and about 1/2” in the rear. Gas tank?

Lost 1.25" of front lift with the C4 bumper, BD 30" S8 light bar and the Warn EVO VR 12s winch.. ugh

Btw 1 Coach Builder shim on driver front will level the tundra lean. also I understand the lean is designed in to compensate the road crown....fwiw

Glad I'm not the only one. I don't remember the OEM leafs being off that much, I wonder if you could put a 1/2" block for the driver's side leaf. Guess I should also mentioned, I am running coilovers and have the front very close to being even (probably ~1/8 off).

I've been running RXT's in 2 for a few weeks, including a 500 trip with our teardrop on the back.

I typically run about 250 or so pounds in the bed, but it's all congregated at the front. Right now my truck measures a true 2 inch over stock following the Toyota FSM measuring procedure. With a couple hundred pounds of tongue weight it still had probably 1 inch of rake, should support my bed rack and RTT perfectly.

As to the Tundra- lean, that's pretty common. The only way to fix it is coil overs or varying shims up front. I currently have my driver side coil over + 3/8”, and I'm 1/8” low on the driver side front and back. I plan to let the Leafs settle a little bit more before I do a final adjustment and level the truck side to side with 1/2 tank gas.

As to shock length asked above, these leafs definitely have more droop. I measured approximately 2 ½” more droop than my Fox piggybacks allowed. The right way to correct that would either be limit straps or longer shocks. I have some RXT clickers on order and someone else posted that king 2 1/2's are very similar lengths and should fit.

Let us know what you think! I thought the ride was fantastic but couldn’t stand the spring slapping sound it made off-road. I’m hoping that was just an issue confined to my one spring but please let me know what your experience is overall

What would be the benefit of the RXT over the add a leaf kit Icon offers?

My factory leaf springs were toast! They just can’t carry the weight that I’m carrying.

so if i use a stage three rxt leaf spring, it will keep the same height in the back of my truck as it sits right now? It is sitting on stock leafs with a 4 inch block on top of them.

    Reviving an old thread.

I've been running the rxt leafs on my 2012 Tundra. I've gone back and forth between options 2 & 3 and thought I'd share some observations.

The instructions refer to replacing or adding the 3rd leaf (counting from the top down). For example, option 3 says to place the aal between leafs 2&3. However, doing so puts the aal (in my opinion) at the wrong place in the pack. The progression of leaf length isn't maintained and the plastic friction pads don't make contact.

If you place the aal between leafs 3&4 the progression of leaf length is better and all the plastic pads make contact. See pictures below.

I'm curious if, the first two leafs in the pack should be counted as 1, seeing they are more or less attached by the military wrap. With that theory, I would then be adding the aal between 2&3.

I've chosen to go with that thinking/method as it "looks correct" regardless of the instructions.

Perhaps this thinking could be applied to option 2 as well

Just got my springs yesterday! Gonna run option 3. Hopefully set up the pack this weekend and install the following.

The 2nd pic on the bottom looks like the right configuration to me. That would be my interpretation of the install instructions also, (add a leaf between #2 & #3). The top pic looks like you have it placed between leafs #3 & #4 counting down from top.
