Is there any reason I can't run the RXT leafs with mr toytec shackles at 1"? If so, any idea what the net lift would be?

min upgrading from 6112 / 5160 abs toytec shackles to icon kit with RXT leafs. Should I try and find a pair of stock / own shackles?

should be fine. I originally ran with stock shackles then upgraded to Total Chaos 3/4” shackles. Here is a pic of mine on option 2 with the TC shackles after just installing my 37” tires. Hope that helps.

super helpful I feel like toytec shackles at 1" won't sit much higher than your setup. How high are up sitting up front?

I have the Fox 2.5 Extended travel.. I think I am just over 3” of lift up front and looks like I sit completely level. My other friend has the same set up as mine, and used stock shackles and sits completely level. These trucks are all a little different.

I guess it depends on if you want any rake or want to sit level. If you don’t mind a little rake I think you are good as you will be either level or have some rake. If you want to be level might want to try the stock shackles first just in case.. also would depend on how much weight you plan to regularly carry in the rear and how much preload you put into the new front coilovers.

sorry just my disorganized thoughts, but should make sense

All makes since. Wouldn't mind a little bit of rake but also have a decked storage system (full time) and RTT (seasonal) but sitting level wouldn't kill me either. Just don't want to be nose high.

I feel like option 1 with the shackles and icon coin overs set at 2.5" up front should put me in a good place?

Also, just my 2 cents, stage 2 feels amazing Offroad. Took it wheeling with even the RTT on the back and loved the flex I got out of it.

I’d go option 2 and stock shackles before I went option 1 with toytec shackles. Especially if you have a decked and a seasonal RTT tent.

    EDIT: mine before the 37s

    definitely roll with option 2

I have ran the RXT’s for over 2 years now with no problems. I have a lot of noise in the rear when Offroad and believe it is the CB shackles rubbing the spare 35” tire moving it all around. I have a new rear bumper that does not allow me to carry the spare there any more but have not been Offroad yet since the new bumper this week.

I am in the process of purchasing RXT leaf packs as well as the RXT 2.5 CDCV rears. I have a full size spare (~100 lbs) and a Diamondback HD ATV cover (~100 lbs) for a total of ~200 lbs constant weight. In my current set up--stock springs, CB +2 shackles and 5160--I added airbags with Daystar cradles for when I haul my 800 lb quad. Long story short, did end up adding airbags???

I am wondering because I would prefer to go with the lowest option in spring setup yet have my bags sit up and off of the craddles when not in use.

I am on 4 inch blocks in the back as of right now, I plan on upgrading to the rxt leaf springs from icon. And I also want to slap on my adjustable toytec rear shackles. Anyone have problems with this combination?

I had several conversations with Icon about this setup and their consistent response was: "our RXT leaf pack was designed to work with the stock / OEM shackles." I asked what if i decided to use an aftermarket shackle and they were unwilling to answer. I think its more so to cover their own a$$ since they dont really have any R&D on it and unsure how it could effect the leafs over the long term.

Would like to think some users on here have this setup so hopefully they will chime in for ya.

I've been running Leitner rack, Smitty XL RTT, full size spare (approx. 400lbs constant weight) for about 7-8 months on stock suspension and beginning to notice a little rear sag. Probably going to go with Icon RXT pack and run with option #2 or #3. Don't do any rock crawlin or crazy wheelin. Mostly fire/washboard roads, easy trails, beaches, snow.

I want to try and keep things affordable and put some money into lighting. Noticed on Icon site they recommend running their RXT leafs with their rear shocks, is this necessary? Cost goes up quickly and before you know it I'm refitting the entire suspension for $2k +!!

Anyone see an issue adding RXT leafs and keeping factory shocks?? Input and thoughts are much appreciated!

Stay loose and have fun boys!

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
Those leafs provide more travel and stock shocks would be the limiting factor. likely leading to catastrophic shock failure. Double check the spec for both shocks, maybe I'm wrong.

Are there any issues with running option 2 or 3 with +3 coach builders? I have appx 300-350 lb normal load with Rack, RTT awning and Retrax cover.

I would like to know this answer too...I am 99% sure I am going with the RTX springs, option 2, and I already have Coachbuilder +3...but may go down to the +1, just to keep it rigid.

That would be great. I have ordered the Icon RXT and Coachbuilder +1 today.
If you have 35” tires I would love to know the height from ground to fender in the rear. Also, I am carrying about 600 lbs with my cap, bumper, and spare….how much extra weight are you carrying?

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
8FF48217-250A-45ED-9837-8CFE6AC02DF0.jpg Option 2 after about a year and half. I constantly max my payload with work and they haven’t sagged too much. Usually have 2-40lbs in it. They don’t squeak too bad and yes you can drive through speed bumps not over them lol.

I am in the process of getting these installed and have a question. Is there a certain way the u-bolt spring seats go? I know one is left and right, but where the axle sits, there is a slight angle on the seat. I should have marked them, but of course I didn't. Anyone got a photo or mind taking a photo of theirs?

*EDIT* I think I figured it out, where LH and RH are stamped on the bottom of the seats, the stamps should be on the outside.

What size tires are you running?
Did you take before and after measurements? Looks like you gained a couple inches?

I do not have before measurements with the C4 bumper, Winch or the roof rack. Will get current measurements tomorrow if I remember to...
tires are Toyo Open Country AT II 295/70/r18 wheel offset is +25 appx 20k miles on the tires

before bumper/roofrack and ICON measure was 25.5 all around before stock leafs began to sag.20210726_145413.jpg
