The RXTs have a thin short piece of sheet metal near the center pin that separates each leaf, probably 12" in length total. I basically re-created the same thing but the sheet metal is the length of each leaf on my Alcan springs. Much quieter now. I tried the the rubber stuff and that didn't work for me.

I used inner tube. It was worked pretty well on that side. I didn't put it inbetween each leaf as recommended, just in what I thought were the worst spots as that's what I had time for. Made it much better. I would think the pvc liner Colton linked would work very well.

Definitely be careful to NOT put your fingers in between the leaves!

Yea that would be a bad day. I see these damn leaf springs and hear them squeak in my nightmares after 3 power washings and 3 different type of lube attempts.

Same problem here with the Icon's. The squeak makes it sound like a POS. Just got the supplies for the inner tube fix yesterday, fingers crossed

Here are 2” wide sheet metal strips that I layered in between each leaf.

Yea same here it’s irritating. Mostly because my stock ones were quiet and I thought $700 leaf packs would be an upgrade over a shackle lift.

Better performance does not always mean quieter. This is across the board with alot of performance mods. Unfortunately it is what it is... I don't know why they don't make these more quiet or the same as factory.

OP I feel your pain with ICON’s leaf products. I did an add a leaf to my stock leafs and the squeaking started a month after. Drove me nuts and couldn’t get rid of it. Finally went with Deaver and no more squeak.

My RXTs had shorter "leaf shims" about 6" long between most of the leaves but not all for some reason (used unknown history) I added galvanized sheet metal shims between every leaf and it helped immensely. If you research leaf shims they're supposed to be brass. Plus some plastic plugs at each leaf tip to quiet them down. If I were to do it again I'd do brass shims and the inner tube tips and just service the tips as needed.

@memario1214 inner tube fix works a champ. Now, I have low droop springs and they spread a bunch, so after a hard day run, My inner tubes are all over the place - still sounds good, lol. I'm gonna unbolt shocks and limit straps run full droop and clean the shit out of the leafs. and once I have them all super nice, I'm putting inner tube back in there.

I have NEVER had mine dance around, but I could see how that might happen if you're really hammering away at them and fully relaxing. I've never had any move, but it's clearly possible! I wonder how to keep them there for these types of use cases. Suppose you could stretch the tubing over the end of the leaf ends? Maybe try a little bit of glue to hold them? Can't really think of anything off-hand that I would want in there long-term that would actually bond the rubber to the metal. Might have to noodle on this a bit.
