Kinda a long story, I had the pro comp 6 inch lift put on when I bought the truck new in "15, they put a cheap spacer kit. Tires wore great but on pavement every time I turned they would screech, Didn't really like that cause it was kinda embarrassing. I also lost a lot of my turning radius. Anyways, when I upgraded from the spacer lift to these ICON's, I still had the screeching, My mechanic told my problem to Eric at State 48 Overland, he called me and told me about the tie rod ends. Put them on and problems are gone, plus I got 30% of my turning radius back. I also think that they made the steering easier to turn, smoother.

It cured mine. Now one must keep in mind, you have to make sure your rims will allow for enough room to fit. Coach Builder says a 20 inch rim is needed, that is not 100% the case as mine are 18 inch with a +4 offset

1st gen guy checking in. My ICON 2.5's also ride rougher than I expected. I agree with your assessment. They don't handle bumps well but they do feel sporty around curves. I wish I had splurged on ADS instead.

I've got it at the factory setting. Never adjusted them up or down. Gave me exactly 2" of lift on my 2002.

Running a stage 3 Icon kit, is there any concern with a 200lb bumper up front?

I run the stage 3 icon, set for a 3" lift...not sure what preload that is, 34" ridge grapplers, C rated at 33 PSI cold. I believe the ride to be firm, but not harsh at all. It's what I expected a premium aftermarket shock to feel like..

With a 200lb front bumper, you may want to call ICON and see if the coils are appropriate for that extra load.

Could not tell you personally it is just what he said. It is hard to gauge people's perception of what they expect from products.

Thanks for the reply, I did talk to ICON and they said it would just ride lower than expected, which is fine for me. I dont want to slam much larger tires under it yet.
