ICON 17" Vector 5 wheels

Was that a specific color? I was just told "indefinitely" for black

 

Which distributor did you go through, or was that straight from Icon?

 

Just the local wheel shop here in town so I'm not sure. We're in Canada too so maybe get different priority than US vendors, I'm not tooo worried yet as I need to sell my old truck before I'm allowed to buy these.

 

Just said f it and put in an order, do I need different lugs/nuts or will they just bolt on? And are there any special considerations for balancing? Saw in another thread that 17's are tight with the calibers so the weights need to be mounted in a particular way.

 

I don’t have these wheels. I have RW’s but these vectors are tempting!!! The weights should be mounted on the outside of the rotor, facing you when putting the wheel on. Otherwise it will be very difficult to take the wheels off/on without hitting the weights. I’m not sure about the lugs? But you may as well just order black lugs with the new wheels!

 

ET lugs required. SDHQ carries them.

 

I joined just so I could say that I ordered these in bronze last week from 4Wheel Parts after being told it was 2-3wk backorder. But today I received an email saying it was going to be 6-8wks

 

I got 8-10 weeks from Toyotec just now

I would now be 5 months out on my six speed order. I'm guessing they would be in the same shipment as y'alls vector 5s

 

Are people getting their Vectors get? I’m okay with the 10 week wait but 5 months shit man idk, these dad wheels are killing me

 

I was told 6-8 weeks, 3 weeks ago. I've lived with the stock steelies for 4 years, a few months wait sucks but will be worth it.

 

I ordered my Vectors during the black friday sale and got them in late Jan/early Feb (can't remember exactly when). Got my Fox DSC's 2 weeks ago (also ordered on black friday) and got everything put on this past Friday:

 

Ordered my wheels on Black Friday. Was notified that 5 packages will be arriving Thursday via Fedex. I ordered from SDHQ.

 

How much lift do you have?

 

I got 3.25" up front and 3" in the back. I'll be getting the RSI smartcap in few months which should bring the rear down to ~2".

Full set up was:
Fox 2.5 DSCs front + rear
Icon RXT leafs (Option 2)

 

nice..im really digging those wheels...those are up there with my choice 2nd to the MR701s...

 

yeah these wheels look great, im leaning towards these if I cant get a set of SCS wheels... everything seems impossible to get nowadays

latest update from Icon (via Discount Tire), latest shipment is still inbound. Icon expects to have them in the warehouse mid June, ready to start filling back orders.

 

Crossing fingers mine are on that boat.

Anybody have comment if putting those rally style mudflaps on would be a good idea with the changed offset? Can’t remember the brand off the top of my head. Paired with 285 Wildpeaks.

 

So after about 5 months of waiting for the vector 5. I canceled the order and order the icon alloy rebound 5 from Boss Off-road. I placed the order last week and ...

 

The rebound wasn't my first choice either, but I ended up with them kinda like you. Honestly it's a great looking wheel and I'm glad it worked out the way it did.
....there is a joke here somewhere. The wheel that is nobody's first choice is aptly named 'Rebound'.

 

These backorders are driving me nuts, my Crutchfield order is 2 months out of stock now too. Rep says they expect the radio late May/early June but I’m not holding my breath.

Curious if this is Covid demand or Evergreen blockage or general demand or just conservative supply management...

Went with the cooper at3 XLT. 305 70 17. But my lift/level is only a hair over 2.25 /1 Filled the wheel wells great. Just had to push in the inner fender

 

Mine are for sale, fantastic condition. Less than a 1000 miles.
