That’s a sweet looking ride. Are you able to open the tonneau with the bed rack?

Yeah, RCI sells special brackets you can use with a soft cover tonneau. Only thing that sucks is it adds about three inches to the height of the rack so my RTT is a little above roof line.

No, Sir. Without disclosing too many details (I'm one of those weirdos that doesn't put everything personal on the internet) I can say that Colorado is several hours away from me. I've been down there for work a few times and made a trip down to go over Imogene pass this year, but that was planned with a buddy and was a couple days.

So, I emailed Roofnest to see if they had an updated number for tracking and they pointed me to the freight carrier. I emailed them and got a response that it was delivered on the 16th and signed for by one of the warehouse workers. Why the hell I wasn't informed by the warehouse is a mystery, and the cynic in me is dreading going to look at it. I wouldn't be surprised if the new guys there effed it up, or if it was trashed by the freight company and the idiots didn't note it. I'll have to go check tomorrow or Wednesday after work.

Really hoping that I'm just being an asshole and everything is fine.

Not sure I understand. Is it not being delivered to your door? Whose warehouse was it delivered to?

Perk to the company I work at is that I can have things shipped to the company warehouse. I just make sure it says it's a personal package on it and they notify me when things arrive. This keeps weirdos from showing up at my door, and gives me access to a forklift and such. I get to ship from work too, because we ship via UPS for the company and they just bill it out of my next paycheck. Very convenient.

Ok, that makes sense now. Yes, definitely convenient except when your receivers kindly forget to notify you of its arrival. Hopefully, it’s still undamaged.

My major worry is that the shipper damaged it and the warehouse guy didn't note any of it. I'm gonna be super pissed if that's the case. Them not telling me it's here is just irritating but nothing I'll be mad about.

I wouldn’t sweat too much about it. If there is any damage, I’m sure RN will work with you. I’m optimistic that all is ok :fingerscrossed:

It all looks good so far. The warehouse guys had partially opened it to inspect for damage and didn't see anything. They thought it was a server for the IT department. :rofl:I loaded it in the bed of the truck right before coming to work, so I haven't been able to open it up, but the box is in pretty good shape. I'll be gunning for a Friday install if the shop at work has a bay I can use. Super excited!

Did you ever get your installed, @BayRunner?

Nice, that must be one hell of a server.

Have not installed mine yet. It was delivered and I immediately went on vacation. So it’s sitting in my garage all by it’s lonesome.

Since you’ll be the first to install, make sure to post pics.

I hope to install. We'll see. If I'm not to dead in the morning I might just try to get it done tomorrow before the snow flies. I'd like to get it out of it's box and installed without it sitting in the weather, but we don't always get what we want.

Sounds good. If you do install, please measure the distance between the 2 rails on the bottom of the tent (center to center). My rack (KB Voodoo) top rails run the same direction and I plan to bolt directly to them. So I’ll need to position my top rails the exact same position as the tent rails. Thanks!

Man, you're asking me to remember something for days. I mean, I'm gonna sleep between now and then, and it's all a clean slate after that.

Jokes aside, I'll try to remember to get measurements for the tent rails.

Me too! Just stopped by the shop at work to try and schedule time... totally locked up and lights off. Nobody there to even try. Sucks, cuz nobody will be in tomorrow either. So looks like I'm stuck waiting until at least Tuesday. If I can't get in then, I'm boned until after the 4th. :(

Well got it installed today. Not difficult but a serious PITA with my rack. The top rails on my rack run front to rear and the same direction as the mounting rails on the bottom of the tent. So I had to adjust the position of my rack top rails to be exactly the same position as the tent rails so that I can bolt it up directly to the rails. Sounds easy but much more tedious. Also had to make some other rack adjustments that are relevant to my specific rack. I think all racks with side to side top rails is a much easier RTT install.

Looks great! 90% sure my rack will have the same orientation for the supports. Good to know that I need to bring a dose of patience with me. One nit pick, if I may... no pic of the tent open? Seriously? :boink:

No pic of it open because I have not opened it yet. :D. The latches do not come installed and I did have to open in my garage in order to get the hardware kit out. The fit is quit tight and I had to sit on it to get it closed enough in order to hook the latches. By the time I had everything buttoned up, it was dusk and the family had dinner ready. I’ll open it up tomorrow and get some pics.

BTW, 165 lbs does not seem like much. However with my lifted truck, it took 3 people to get it up on the rack. A little cumbersome. Put it on from the rear. Got it up to rest one end on the tailgate. Then 2 got on steps on each side to lift that end onto the rack. With one end on the rack, the 3rd holding the rear was able to push and slide it on the rack.

As promised, here are some pics of it open. I like the tent but not the best QC. There are 2 little hole slot brackets on each side of the ladder that holds the rain fly support wire poles. Well, the left one was installed backwards and the pole points the wrong direction. Ok, I thought easy fix, Just unscrew it, reverse it and screw it back in. Nope, they are pop riveted in. All the other attachments on the tent are screwed in except these 2 brackets which are riveted. Whose the genius who came up with that idea for a part that may need to be replaced in the future?
