My fix for this has been yoga. I still creak and pop in the morning but I am no where near as stiff first thing out of bed. 30-45 min every morning before breakfast then 20 min or so of light stretching in the evening right before crawling into bed. Side bonus, it's improved my cycling power. I can't recommend it enough. Of course, that does nothing to fix the dislocations in both shoulders or the punishment I've inflicted on myself on bikes and skis...

I have heard nothing but good stuff on yoga and I also hear it's not near as easy as you might think it is

Flexibility and balance weren't the real issues for me. All my years of TKD were helpful with that side of it. The real test comes with what I call body weight strength which for me has always been key to the things I do outdoors. For that, yoga has been super helpful. There are still a few balance poses I wobble on but I'm no longer having to catch myself with a foot or a hand.

I just started stretching my legs every night. Been doing it for a week and already feel better. Never tried yoga but maybe that's what I need. Gonna give it a try. Sean, any suggestions on YouTube I can cast up on the tv?

Don't just stretch the legs. You need to get your hips and lower back involved too. Especially, if like me, you're locked to a keyboard all day.

I've been using this series. I know you can view some of her stuff on Vimeo but I have a Sufferfest membership and her videos are included with that. I like it because she splits things into concentrated 15 min chunks. I always do a core one plus one or two others that I mix and match.

I have a lot of comics in storage but unfortunately not from my childhood days. Got my son into comics about 22 years ago. I took him to all the comic shops in San Fernando Valley. Have a bunch that are personally signed. Grandson is almost old enough. 2 1/2 yrs old. Heck, might as break him in now.. Let the fun begin..
