Indeed; and I thought I did sh*t hot (hell, I DID sh*t hot) getting almost $8K off of my new truck.

Not in Washington, but definitely been looking for a new truck. What dealers specifically if you don’t mind sharing?

Received a email from Toyota of Tacoma and follow up from Internet Manager via text who indicated 8-9K off MSRP with exception of TRD Pro 54k Platinum for around 46k is a hell of a deal...

Toyota does have rebates listed on their website: https://www.toyota.com/deals/tundra/

That is better than the $2,000 I got.

This is true. Though with that said, I can honestly say that I don't care whether they're salaried or commission, so long as they help the customer both before and after the sale. We went local specifically because the dealership and the salesman (and the parts dept, service dept, etc.) have helped us plenty in the past, and did my wife right when she bought her Highlander. :)

I would think so. Several manufacturers are advertising full online shopping and some even offer delivery. Cadillac comes to mind.

The domestics just play up the marketing psychology hype...they claim a $15K discount but we know (or should know) it is a bunch of bullshit. Ever met a guy who didn’t get a smoking deal?

In Kansas they said they can’t deliver cars (sell them) until the end of April .. the 25th I think.

    Dealers are locked down.

It’s interesting that some guys are showing up now and thinking the deals on Tundra’s are new... they have been there all month essentially because the tundra is old tech, and they haven’t done much on them for a LONG LONG time.

BTW - Why in the Name of God can’t I get folding power mirrors as an Option !!! Seriously that is dumb. (I’m planning on buying a limited)

Well, I bought mine (in person, yes I maintained 6' distance, didn't shake hands, etc.) last Friday, and from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out was exactly 31 minutes.

Given that, it's not at all impossible to foresee door delivery and even on-site contract signing/negotiation/etc.

Yup buying and delivery from the comfort of your home is the future of the industry, really already here but will be common in the years ahead.

All dealers around here are doing delivery and are open as normal. You can buy from email, Skype, FaceTime, etc... The dealer will than deliver the car to your home. My buddy is sales manager at a Honda dealer and he says it is going very well and sales are strong.

Whether it is good, bad, or indifferent not a whole lot has slowed down like in other areas and most businesses are still open and plugging along around here in E TN. I am still encountering traffic on my way to work in the morning and on my way home from work.

Right now is a great time to buy!!!!!

I’m getting close to that, but I really want a longer bed for hauling things... So a crew cab is a big minus there.

It’s about a 3k step up to get the ball coolers & power folding mirrors ? And loose a foot of cargo space.

As an update, this dealer verbally quoted me the price. I asked for it in writing and they suddenly "didn't have that truck available." FWIW...this was Koons Tyson's Corner just outside DC. Bait & switch.

I’m seeing 15% off MSRP in Feb and 18% now. I’m not rushing, been looking since December. I do all my car buying online even prior to this 6’ deal.

I’m also not interested in the next gen until it’s been out a couple years. Same as I avoided the first years of the first and second gen tundras.

This was a recent offer I received for a 2020 Limited.

Pulse is some add on shit they install to blink the 3rd brake light when stopping and $599 benefits package is crap as well. This was without any counters yet.

It looks like they can sell cars now, by appt only...
BUT - no test drives (that is stupid)..., and the show room is closed so you can’t get into one —- bigger stupid..

The deal breaker - all the discounts only apply to vehicles in stock (I can’t order one).

What’s weird is that the Toyota Site says the dealer has the models I want, but the dealer is saying they don’t have it....

I’m getting frustrated enough to wait until next year, or for Ford to fix their 5.0...
