Hahaha. I'd have give him shit AND made him pay for it. Or at least bought them and made his ass install them while I sat and drank beer and told him where he was screwing up.

That's still a pretty sweet DIY for the house. I'm working on getting a ranch in texas and can't wait. When you have time, there's seriously not an end to the stuff you can do.

Did you ever get that BS about a PowerLine drop for your place?

It surprises me that there's not a snowmobile thrown into the mix. You know just in case I popped up in the area. Oh well, the beer on ice is definitely a good move

I feel very strongly about my political beliefs because I'm clearly right and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. That being said, I think this forum is better for banning political conversations. Politics and religion can make enemies out of people who would otherwise be great friends. Thanks to the moderators who spend the time to keep these forums polite and generally on topic (Tundras.. not politics).

So while we're here let's just focus on the topic at hand and leave the bullshit out of it - really does make it more enjoyable for EVERYONE.

Also kudos to mods for not being so liberal with the banhammer. I am on other forums where it would have been swinging left and right in this thread...

I sold mine a few years back. Been waiting for the boys to get old enough to say they want to start riding on their own and I'll go balls deep in some new snow machines.

@Glock17 and some of the others that want to talk politics:

Be smart. Why not offer @Bob a private section inside this forum for PAID members only? 25.00-50.00 per member, per year, that wants to go into "the lunitic fringe". No moderation, no butt hurt feelings, no holds barred. @Bob might tell you to go choke on a bag of dicks (might want to see where he resides before you make more CA insults, and another staff member is from CA).

Last week I deleted 30 people off FB due to drama, constant political posts, and just general bullshit. I'm down to 70 from 340. Loving it now.

Also last week I left an off-road forum I have been a very active member since 2000. Wanna know why? The political Nazi's on that forum have taken over. Hell, most of them don't even own a 4wd vehicle or wheel. Nonetheless, they have destroyed that site and it is dead now, and due to the shitty safe space moderation. Last week, one of those Nazi's posted up some racial bating shit and I have had enough. I haven't been so tired of political, racial, religion in my life. Personally, I don't care how you feel about politics, race, or religion. I don't want to hear about it on here. Can anyone really honestly say they want to hear about politics and religion non-stop, 24/7? That is exactly what would happen. Seen it happen on a few forums and they are graveyards now. The only ones that are still good to go are paid sections to get into those sorts of forums.

I have been held out on some threads recently for posting pictures that the management didn't like. Pretty sure it was a 2-3 day vacation from posting in that thread. I was warned and earned myself a short vacation. I'm pretty sure I know who did it (only 3 to chose from), totally respect their decision. Visa versa, I would have done the same if not more.

I have been an administrator on a forum. It is not easy. Personally, for a site this size and activity, there should be several more that are forum specific moderators.

If all else fails, start up a website. It is actually pretty easy.....

Completely with you on that crap @ColoradoTJ.

Enough shitstorms have been going on in real life and social media lately with every issue from race to circumcision (yes, there was a protest in Baltimore a few months ago on how that was cruelty to boys) :notsure:

This is the only forum I'm even active on because of the kick ass guys on here. Shooting shit, taking shots at each other in good fun, beer, and tundras.

Never been a moderator but can definitely see how it's frustrating. You have to either choose to be a dick at times or let your site go to shit. Kudos to @Sean266 @Bob @csuviper and all the other moderators on here that do so.

@Glock17 MOST guys on here would say the same as you are in terms of political stance, I would think. But as long as most of us have been on this earth, it's a given that any situation can and usually will turn bad at the mention of politics, or religion.

We're all for freedom of speech, but just because you have freedom to say whatever you want doesn't mean you should say it.

I always carry my gun on me, but if I go in a school or other establishment where they don't allow guns, no problem. I'll leave my gun in my truck and respect their rules just as I'd want someone to respect my rules in my house and business. You don't have to agree with it, but if it's for a good understandable reason, won't hurt to abide by them. You can always strap your gun back on or go on political rants until your face is blue anywhere else.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Lt.Dan, Jason and some of the others have it right. Sean and I are on here as volunteers. We don't get paid but we are here because we enjoy the forum, want to be a part of it and don't want to see it fail. We aren't here to baby sit. We aren't here to be dictators. We join in the conversations, help others when we can, keep conversations going, provide DIY threads, provide informative threads and build up our own tundras. By adding the staff/moderator we help to keep the forum organized and on track. Unfortunately a part of it is to take action when there are repeat violators. The code of conduct is short and to the point. Easy to follow and you really have to be trying to piss off sean and I. Hell in the 3 years of this forum now all I can remember is one member being kicked off because of attituded and a few because of spam. Only a few minor violations that lead to short term vacations from specific threads. We have a lot of amazing members on here. Let's keep it that way!!

No, the 6 is still open for you. But knowing @FlashCulprit, I'm almost positive he's gonna want @ColoradoTJ's 6. No, I'm absolutely positive. As demonstrated by they're motorcycle back rides on each other.
