Well I am on the other side of the spectrum and totally get it. Why blow money you don't have right?

However, you ever want to go nuts on the cheap, tonight I seen a Chevy D-60 for 500.00 and a 14B for 100.00, install some yukon lockers. Seen a set of 39" tires for 1200.00 that were 90%. Not a bad deal.

This site seems extremely good. As you said, lots of solid guys from what I have seen. Kinda reminds me of ih8mud.

Ooh I'm a fan of 80's bikes. Just a retro thing for me LOL

If I were to get a bike myself, I'd get a Harley V rod. Those are SEXY!!

Been on ih8mud a couple times. Never really got involved but if it's anything like this site, can't be a bad idea at all!

That is a good looking bike. I have a soft spot for low slung bikes with round head lights. Not sure why, but I do. And I've really only used ih8mud for getting in touch with one of the local 4x4 clubs here in noco. But, bunch of cool guys on there

That's about the only Harley I'd ever own. I used to have a Victory Vegas 8 ball back in my reckless days... that thing was awesome fun and unlike a harley, worked all the time.

V-rods always felt like I was positioned folding myself in half. Fun bike. But I'm too lanky to own one. I had a super glide a few years back. But always felt like it was lacking in the corners, even for a cruiser.

Probably wouldn't be that much different for me. I'm only 3 inches shorter than your tall ass LOL
Never owned a street bike, all my bikes in the past have been strictly dirt and enduro bikes.

Father in law has a rebuilt knucklehead. Not sure of the year but it has a hand clutch and all original parts. Nice bike but a bit too bulky for my tastes.

Not a big fan of street bikes these days and most likely would never own one outright. Too many of my buddies have gotten hurt and/or killed mainly because of other drivers not paying attention. *enter cell phone rant*

One late buddy of mine was killed instantly sitting at a stop light when a driver didn't see him (or the light) and rear ended him. Went straight through the windshield.

Sucks because they're so much fun!!

I feel you man. I love all bikes! haha But I've been on crotch rockets since I was 16... Luckily, I live in a place where population density isn't too crazy and roads are pretty safe outside of the city. I've always lived by the mantra "ride like everyone wants to kill you". It's served me well in being hypercritical about minimal actions and avoiding accidents (only been down once, lowslide in a canyon while tryin' to drag some knee.)

I hear you on the dangers of it. I had a buddy park his R6 in the back of a tahoe last year. Wasn't pretty. :/

If you ever come out this way and there's no snow, you best believe we'll be rippin my enduros in the forest!

Man, I'd be riding like crazy if my hometown was howbit was when I was a kid. After Katrina it just boomed and now what used to be a lazy town is essentially a mini city with major city traffic complete with an "inner city" mentality with some people. Sad how it turned out. Luckily, there's plenty of country around there. Wife and I have been contemplating where we want to buy a house. Wouldn't mind commuting an hour to work (I've had to do that pretty often in the past with both college and work)
If we do settle down in a place like st francisville (awesome country and small antique town) I'd think hard about getting one!

Hell yeah! I'm not too good at it though! LOL either way, throw in a night of Irish whiskey and strong ass beer, I'm down!!

I'll post my garage when I get home. :)

I've got a WR250, a DRZ400 - Just sold my last street, still waiting on my Triumph Triple to arrive from Texas (shitty weather) and a project bike i've been workin' on Yami XS650.

And a few toys here and there. Thinkin' about selling the quads for a RZR or Wildcat... :notsure: I like to have fun.
