Easy for me to say but I would not beat myself up. I would hope the arbitrator has some form of positive news. You might not get it all back but possibly shipping it back would be the only cost.
We all make suck ass mistakes. You have a really wonderful looking truck and according to have much you have in it, perhaps a frame(ain't cheap) will be in it's future.

I’ve thought about that. However there are engine parts close to the frame that look to be very rusty. I’m going to have a friend drive it when he gets back to town so he can tell me if it drives and sounds as good as his first gen tundra, since I’ve never had a 1st gen tundra I’m not sure if it seems normal or not.

The vin that was posted in the ad is not the same vin on the truck I just discovered. The bill of sale does match the truck vin though, so I’m not sure if this helps or not.

I can run the vin on the truck on TIS. The one from the photos lined up with a 34k mile truck. I wonder if you’ve fallen victim to a vin swap or w/e

Kinda hard to know without seeing it all, but you might want to hold off on any stress test, if your not stuck with it, you don't want to break critical components yet and get stuck with it.

You didn’t buy it from the auction. You bought it online from a dealer. Don’t let them pass the Buck to the auction. Your beef is with the dealer regardless of what the arbitrator comes up with. He is responsible for your transaction.

The same vin pic is on another tundra that’s still for sale on his lot. Still unsure if that’s really of any value.

This is simply info that may or may not assist but one can go to various sites to verify a VIN, Toyota Owners already mentioned. Another is NHTSA and there VIN decoder where one inputs the VIN.

Welcome to VIN Decoding :: provided by vPIC (dot.gov)

As for the 2 VIN pic's and differences, couple things that stand out is the 10th digit which tells the year.

Wasn't it the 00-03 models that got the freebee frames and the 04-06 that got the undercoating/rustproofing?

I hope you can get some affordable resolution to this. If you were to get a replacement frame for it at a reasonable cost you'll end up with one sweet truck.

Never start with a direct threat. Always start with a legal threat from an attorney. The former starts conflict. The latter lets them know you're serious. The good part about situations like this are, if you have an attorney, they'll know to sue for legal fees and then some, so you're not out of pocket.

And this. This 10x over. Don't make another mistake. I f'n HATE lawyers, even though my FIL who is pretty cool is one.

Don't let the dealer pawn it off. They're new to this so you should not rely on them to handle this situation with your best interest in mind, they're looking to cover their own ass. If they have a handful of brain cells or any level of risk/loss awareness, I guarantee you they're scrambling right now to find a lawyer because they want to save their ass right now, at least if they know what's best for you.

The expectation of any of these auctions - a reasonable expectation, based on the text in the sale advert is that this is a low-mile, low-use vehicle, those claims inspire a feeling that this vehicle is not only safe to drive, and will be for plenty of time to come. This vehicle is not safe to drive. You did not buy this with any intent except to drive. So regardless how you slice it, you absolutely have a legal case here. CALL A F'N LAWYER.

Seen many of quick good results during my lifetime using both methods. Sort of depends on what is at stake in each individual case.

Google "2015 Kansas Consumer Protection Law". It seems if a used car dealer fails to disclose certain issues the buyer has rights similar to new car lemon laws. If dealer can't or won't fix the issue buyer may be entitled to a full refund.

I'd eat the $200 consultation fee and get on the phone with an attorney in Kansas right away. I think in my state of Maryland, if a used car dealer is a licensed dealer, they are not allowed to sell a used vehicle unless they are conveying the vehicle to the buyer with a passing safety inspection. It may be the same for Kansas dealers. Found this in the Kansas dealers Handbook.

Some states require attorney representation for civil suites when amount your suing for is over a set amount. You will have to check with an attorney in that the state where the seller is doing business for that. Also, it's always best to get an attorney in that state to represent you due to licensing and familiarity with states laws. Some local law offices have attorneys they use in various states.

Kansas is one of a handful of states that cover some used cars under new-car lemon laws. Kansas state law says the manufacturer or dealer must replace the vehicle with a comparable vehicle under warranty or accept return of the vehicle and refund the purchase price minus an allowance for the use of the vehicle.

The Kansas Lemon Law applies to the purchase or lease of new motor vehicles under 12,000 lbs. It also provides a procedure to follow and a remedy if a Kansas Consumer's vehicle qualifies as a lemon under the law. It does not apply to used cars.

One may also ask, what are my rights as a used car buyer? If you've bought a used car that turns out to be faulty, then you are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This means that you are entitled to a full refund if you take the car back to the dealer within 30 days of purchase if you can prove that the fault was already there when you purchased the car.

Consequently, how do I return a used car?

(For a used car, “satisfactory quality” takes into account the car's age and mileage.) You have a right to reject something faulty and you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of purchase in most cases. After 30 days you lose the short-term right to reject the goods.

I might be off the mark on this, but I seem to remember that if a frame had been reworked it had to be disclosed by the seller. That weld shown earlier looked fresh….

    Work in progress...
Vehicles have to be able to pass a state inspection in order for a retail sale to be valid. Check your state inspection requirements regarding used vehicle purchases, Check the selling state as well. Begin the paperwork process and DOCUMENT every interaction between you and seller. Find out what auction sold the truck and see how it was listed. DO NOT rely on seller to provide you that information, especially if they have already "misrepresented" the vehicle as being from Nevada.

Wow, sorry OP. You got a lot of good advice here:
    1. Consult a lawyer ASAP.
    2. Don’t get angry or threaten the seller. Simply tell them the issues, allow them to make it right (like fully refunding your money and taking the truck back).
    3. Contact your states consumer protection office (sometimes through the State Attorney Generals office).
    4. Save every picture, invoice, bill of sale, email, voicemail, etc. from this transaction and give it to the lawyer you contacted in step 1.
