I’d get a dragy to confirm. As mentioned that app is no way accurate. I’ve ran a few stock new tundras and even modded ones. It’s not even close.

have we belabored the fact that you would need to be in 4HI to get any respectable time?

    or no?

open differential trucks will just spin. I am proof positive.

    LSD trucks will just spin.

    4HI will hookup.

I’d be interested to hear from @reywcms on this - are you seeing a big time difference RWD vs 4WD?

Yes, 4hi is a must. 2 wheel drive is useless. For reference I've seen in the 4s for my truck using a draggy timer. My truck sits at 7klbs, 37s, and stock gears and still spins the tires through 1st. I bet I'm losing time during the launch as the truck cycles through the travel it has.

Ive owned a lot of cars in my life, mostly sports cars and my hybrid Tundra by the seat of my pants is a smooth 6 second 0-60.... Nothing even close to the 3.5 seconds in our Telsa perf model.

Its just about as fast as my old Honda Ridgeline.... but I absolutly wish it drove (and cornered) like it. That will probably get a flame... but I also mostly used the Ridgeline for the yard work on my 5 acres and it handled like a dream with 5K/6K pounds behind it.

My dog is pinned to the back seat and shits flying eveywhere when it give it the beans.
No idea what the 0-60 is but the dramatics of it all certainly adds to the feeling of a quick truck. 2013 with 135k km of supercharged smiles.

3rd Gen HV is quick, but get's it ass handed to it by these cars. Even my Roush RS3 can't compete with the mentioned Tesla until it hooks up. 0-60 time dependent on perfect launch below 4 Seconds. It's all over for the Tesla after that. A roll race 30-120 and forget about it. From experience.

no. A Plaid will hold that 1G for nearly 3 full seconds.

    his falls off.

Although I don’t like electric cars, I’m forced to take that as a compliment. ViktorG’s RCSB he has built for racing pretty much cuts that time in half somehow.

My dog also gets tossed around, especially on corners. Its not the speed that really does this, its the suspension and ride height.

I drove a new Ridgeline before I decided on the Tundra. I really wanted to like it but it was boring, accelerated poorly, handling poorly and virtually zero aftermarket to improve on any of this.

I also test drove a 4WD Tundra before I got my 2WD and it felt much slower in acceleration and cornering. I didn’t try a Hybrid because I didn’t want the weight and no review I could find showed a benefit except for towing.

I do have slightly wider and lighter wheels and tires which certainly helps acceleration.

Honda Ridgeline was a turd! 1st to 2nd Turd. 200hp v6 last forever but still just a turd.

Did I mention my Honda Ridgeline was a turd?
Traded for a 2012 sr5 dc Tundra not a turd.

This one was pretty good with the 6 speed. The engine had 280 hp and 262 ft-lbs. It pulled our trailer quite well but did struggle a bit on the steep hills with the load. It had AWD that would kick in when needed but mostly FWD. Super smooth and had a payload of ~1500 lbs too :)
