Nothing has changed. He still isn't responding to E-mails. I sent him an E-mail demanding a refund and nothing. No response. I'm so sick of this shite. I've got to get by my bank some time this week and talk to them.

At this point, I think it's safe to say he's done with your correspondence. Other people have been able to reach him though.

I think they are using Facebook messenger. I don't Facebook. He should be using his official E-mail through his website but I guess not.

Hey Tyler. Keep your damn shields dude. I just want my money back. This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had trying to buy something.

    GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

This is pointless, man. People are only getting their money back through their CC companies and banks. Call your bank in the AM, and let them get it back for you.

I'm going to have to do that. I'm just so busy right now with work I can hardly find time for lunch much less time to go to the bank. I guess I'm going to have to find it though.

I'm going to I just haven't had the time to. Work has been keeping me preoccupied.

That is the plan. Trying to get a refund from him but can't even get him to respond.

You said you had to go to the bank, hence my question of why not call instead.

Work has a way of getting in the way sometimes.

I messed up one of the bolts for my GetCatSecurity shields, and when I asked if I could buy one of the security bolt replacements from them, dude just sent me a whole hardware set overnight UPS. Now that's service. 100%. I love recommending them and Talons for their customer service.

I hate that this thread became a dogpile of unhappy customers, but you reap what you sow in any industry. Might be time for mods to just lock it away and we all call it a day?

The issue is, folks are still actively having issues. If all issues were resolved and this was just shit talking the vendor, I could see them locking it. But folks are still working for resolution and its good that they have a place to share. Folks need to see what is actively going on (or not).

Mods did remove Tyler as an official Vendor of this forum. Closing this thread will just begin a new one most likely as people try to get resolution.

I understood. I haven't even had time to call. Tomorrow's work load should allow for me to get by the bank I think. We shall see.

That's a good point. If I had seen an active thread like this one back then I wouldn't be in this situation right now. I would have went with somebody else and already have them on my truck. So yea I think this thread is important. It should remain open as long as it remains civil. In my opinion anyways.

I was looking at their web site (GetCatSecurity) and one thing I noticed and liked was the way they did their hardware. All of their bolts where counter sunk so there was no bolt head sticking down for thieves to cut off. People don't realize it only takes a few more seconds for the thief to just cut the heads of the bolts off to defeat the shields. Even carriage bolts can be cut off relatively easy.

For added bonus, you can throw these on there in stainless, make them even less accessible:

    https://agm-products.com/products/skid-pan-washers?variant=44703083921715

Expensive yes but you only need two, and it fully protects the bolt head from both theft and off-roading hazard damage. I'm putting some on when I replace the damaged bolt.

I suppose those would make things more difficult for the good for nothing low life cat thieving POS to cut through. It sucks we even have to do this. The shields do serve a dual purpose and I would probably get them as skid plates anyways but still. God I hate thieves. There seems to be so many of them these days. There is no one prosecuting thieves now a days or even arresting them so they are getting away with everything and never seeing the inside of a jail cell. Hell in some cities the cops won't even show up to a robbery call or a burglary in progress. They just take a report over the phone. Of course they will show up if you take matters in your own hands and do something to stop them like pull a gun on them. Then the cops arrest you instead. Thieves these days are like an invasive predator with no natural enemy. Their numbers are skyrocketing and they are getting bold. Cities like Seattle and Washington DC have decriminalized crime. Car jacking in DC is a misdemeanor now. Can you believe that?

But I digress. Those will probably work.

Well, that's because they're not REALLY criminals. They're just poor disadvantaged people who aren't making good decisions and don't have privilege, or something. ;)

I try not to click on click bait at all if I can and I wouldn't call it an oversimplification of anything. More like me venting my frustrations with reality while trying not to get political about it. :angrygirl:

Reading this thread has made me feel disgusted.

    1. If you cannot reasonably deliver a product that you promised, You are lying and misleading people. Then taking their money and ghosting yourself... which is pathetic. If you have issues keeping your promise, then just be transparent and say so!!!! Stop continuing to take orders until you are 100% ready to ship them!!!! Arrrgh.
Man up and stop the bullshit. I really wanted these plates, but I would never bend over to this absolutely terrible business folly. Not cool. If you have issues, you have the issue, not your customer. Why make enemies when we are on the same side?

    2. Crack, heroin, murder, theft, assault and being an absolute scumbag, are now legal in any area that defunds police services. It's a shit show. My brothers live just outside Seattle and literally watch scumbags walk into Home Depot with carts, take whatever they want, (because the employees are told not to engage and let them go without conflict) they then walk right outside to sell the stuff for half price in the parking lot. No one stops them. There's no police so they think it's a free-for-all. They get cash, and go buy drugs ( because it's legal if there's no police) and repeat. The encampments are rampant and there's no end in sight. This is happening in many of the nicer areas too, where the box stores are stocked with merch (not just inner city projects). When my brother goes shopping at the depot , he is openly strapped up. And while loading the cart, his wife trails him with a shotgun openly in her hands. They get what they need, pay for all of it like good citizens, and then make their way to the truck and leave. This is in the suburbs in an affluent neighborhood (homes over 1mil) But he thieves don't mess with most people and certainly not any openly carrying firearms, because they will get shot and no one will come to do anything about it. The theives found the easy way of walking right into a store and taking everything without resistance. Why steal from an average person and risk getting shot, (the average firearm carrying citizen who, in their right mind would protect themselves). When people do get shot, they just disappear. No cops, no crime scenes. So the theives stick to the easy path of taking from establishments that let them do whatever they want. F'n ridiculous!!!

Aaron, have you called your bank yet? I called the number on the back of my card and it took 10 minutes to get refunded for a nut plate. It was a very easy process.

To your first point I agree 100% with everything you said as I have said the very same things. To your second point I would like to say I am shocked but I'm not as should be apparent seeing it is my post that started this conversation in the first place but I feel you. Your brothers need to move out of the Seattle area. I don't think that that situation will be fixed any time soon. But that is all I'm going to say about that though. I don't want to drag this thread to far a stray or get into the politicks of the matter, something that is unavoidable in any real discussion on the subject. So again I digress.

I will be going to my bank this afternoon. I used a debit card to pay so I don't know if it works like a credit card or not. I will find out today though. It was over 6 months ago so that might factor into this too. we will see. I got to get to work right now though. I will follow up with what I find out later tonight.

If you show up in person to your banks branch, they will probably refer you to a charge dispute customer service representative (via a phone number).

My brother lives in an affluent area just outside of Seattle and his neighborhood is very safe.

He doesn't have to move anywhere.

The pathetic acceptance of scumbags doing whatever they want is what has to stop.

And I feel your pain with your plates... No reason for it to be that way.
