That's cool but what I really want to know more about is what the hell is going on in that wheel well of yours? It looks pretty fancy (and expensive) what ever it is. :monocle:

Likewise. I ordered their full set and got a shipping confirmation same day, had it at my door in 3 days. Unbelievably fast and high quality. I cannot imagine waiting months for plates, might as well get your cats stolen during that time.

I recently got to test fit something for Talons (I'll post about it if he wants) and dude had an experimental version to me in days, perfect fit, super nicely made.

I may take my GetCatSecurity shields off and put Talons on just for that much.

Likewise. I'd had my original two plates installed for months, and ordered the third plate. I had to wait for a while to get the third plate with a bit of trepidation since I have to park outside at night, but I did receive it in due time and happy to have the added protection. I just waited it out. Tyler did respond to FB Messenger (as was suggested). As a one-man-shop, and possibly a sideline business, it has to be tough. I'm glad to hear he is working to get back on track.

Hope he does what he’s promised to do multiple times, because I suspect this thread is going to get nasty (and locked eventually) if he goes radio silent again.

I don't know man. Looks kind of fancy to me. :proposetoast::thumbsup:

You really can't play this game without money. Everything worth putting on the truck is going to be expensive. That is probably why I couldn't afford to play this game until I was in my 50's. And even now......:spending:

Depending on what area you live in SB county...that could be a reason. I wanted to stay in CA, just couldn't and meet my goals financially. Some damn nice real estate there though.

Living anywhere in California is going to be expensive. The part of California that I live in, Santa Ynez, is probably somewhere in between very expensive and ridiculously expensive. There are other areas in California that are stratospherically expensive and if things keep heading in the direction that they are currently I would expect that no one but tech moguls and single mothers on section 8 housing will be able to afford to live here soon enough. I'm a single man and for the first time in my life I paid over $300 for a weeks worth of groceries. Yea. I don't know if that is going to be sustainable. Gas prices are still largely over $5.00 a gallon and I suspect that ain't going to be coming down any time soon. The price of housing here is out of control. Just renting a small three bedroom house here where I live, nothing special, is going to run you about $4,000.00 a month. It's $1,000.00 or more a month just to rent a room. Apartments, if you can find one are about $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 a month. Your typical "tract" style house built anywhere between the 1950's and the 1980's will run you about three quarters of a million dollars. Some even higher then that. Pop over the hill into Santa Barbara proper and you can add a thousand dollars onto each of those prices. Then top it off with some of the highest taxes in the country and it is any wonder how anyone could afford to live here. But it's California man. True, the poly-ticks here suck. The Taxes here suck. The cost of living here sucks. Having to live anywhere near Las Angeles really sucks. In certain areas the traffic sucks. But it's California man. I've lived here all my life. I can wear shorts in January. I have never had to shovel snow to get out of my driveway. There are no hurricanes or tornados to worry about and big earthquakes only happen once or twice in your life time. You have the beaches and the mountains with in an hour of each other. California has some of the most beautiful scenery there is in the whole country. Plus once you leave the rat infested cities behind you find that people here are very real, contrary to what the rest of the country might think. After all two thirds of the state is rural. Farming and ranching. Horse country with real cow boys and every one of them drives a pickup truck. Probably more Fords then anything else but there are plenty of us Tundra owners as well. I truly love living where I do and I feel fortunate to be able to but I don't know for how much longer I will be able to. It has gotten so expensive to live here and the prospect of actually buying and owning a house here at least for me...... it ain't going to happen. The day I have to pack my things and leave the state will be a very bitter day indeed. If I had a wife and kids it might be different. A little easier maybe. But I don't know.

Try living in Canada and getting truck stuff.

    Case in point:

    CBI Covert Bumper: $900 USD

Shipping to a package receiving depot in Sumas, WA: $125 USD (you don't wanna know what it would cost to ship to my door)

Taxes on import to Canada: $61 CAD

    Total in Canuckistani Pesos: $1470

    ^ What bullshit is this???
Shaming the customer because a seller didn't hold up his part of a transaction.

If you can't afford not to charge customers until an item is shipped, you probably shouldn't be selling pickup parts.
I was Tyler's biggest fan, but one has to draw the line eventually.

    You have your plates.
You know the chance of your cats getting stolen is greatly reduced.
You can park your truck without the stress of not knowing if your cats will still be on it when you come back.

These guys are out $800 and praying daily no one steals their cats when they go into Piggy Wiggly for 10 minutes.
These guys paid $800 to someone that won't respond to their inquiries.

Why be out $800 for months with no communication when other sellers can ship them the next day?

California has 4 things going for it:
    -topography is second to none
    -incredible Craigslist free section
-unbelievable amount of second hand off-road parts
-decently high salaries (but still unjustifiable) that serve as solid pay scale boosters

    ..and that’s about it.

I couldn't even imagine the frustration our brothers north of the border deal with.

Was just chatting with a Canadian member and it might be cheaper and easier to take a vacation to the US and have a bumper fall off and replaced with an aftermarket one.

I sold my quiver when my first kiddo arrived. Hope to pick it back up once the youngest is old enough to get themselves ready for school in the morning. Looking forward to that day.

also, Charleston is consistently rated as of the “best looking/most fit people” cities. Gotta head over there and bring that average down :p

I got my Taco Tunes plate in less than a week, then an extra day to get it powder coated desert tan. Just an FYI, not trying to piss off the Cat shield warriors.

    Don't get me started...

Put it this way, I live in a city of 70,000 people. There are no family doctors accepting patients. The only way to see a doctor is at a walk in clinic or the over crowded ER. We have more dentists than general physicians. When my daughter was born, she and I were flown to the NICU in the big city 4 hours south which was good. But when she was transferred back to our home town to spend the last week in the NICU there before we could bring her home, there were 7 other babies there too and only 1 doctor to monitor them all...and he lived in the big city 8 hours south so would fly in on a rotation.

I needed knee surgery in my late teens. Initially it was a 14 month wait for the surgery, but I got lucky and due to some cancellations and my doctor at the advocating for me I got in within 6 months.

Our nurses would rather move to the US and work there than stay in Canada, due to better training opportunities, better pay and better conditions.

But yep, we don't see a bill after a hospital visit. We just watch 30 - 40%+ of our paychecks vaporize before it hits our bank account.

Ok, he got me started. Rant off.
