I like this. Keeping my fingers crossed for an XL version built on the 6.5' bed Crewmax frame. Would love actual cargo room while the 3rd row is in use.

I just did a 7xx hundred mile trip & I do have ONE complaint about my antiquated 2gen Sequoia.

I hate there is no light that indicates cruise control is active, why the fuck is there only a CRUISE light that says it’s on?

See? I can complain about it.

I'm upset that they seem to be going away from the rear sliding glass on the tailgate :(
I'm also really confused, because in the rear teaser image the vehicle looks a lot shorter, but the test mules seem much bigger. There is also an image on the Toyota website under "upcoming vehicles" that shows the Sequoia covered with a tarp, in which it also appears to be large like the test mules.

The Land Cruiser is f@#king gorgeous. That red Sequoia on page one is f@#king hideous. I sure hope they ditch THAT idea and stick with the white one because the red one looks like someone took the old Ford Excursion and rounded the corners then stuck the ugliest part of the new Tundra on it. Yikes.

That would be a long af SUV. That would be almost 2 ft longer than a Suburban!

Haha. Yeah I guess my Tundra (228.9in) is longer than our Yukon XL (222.4in), which is longer than the current Sequoia (205.1in).

I hope there is a Suburban-length option with the new Sequoia.

upload_2022-1-22_0-55-53.jpgSide profile spy shot. Not sure how i'n feeling about that roofline towards the back, and it does appear that the vehicle is a bit shorter than pervious generation

Many manufacturers now offer ‘extended’ versions of their SUVs - Grand Cherokee, Lexus RX, Grand Highlander (?). Maybe there’s a hope for an extended Sequoia.

Would be funny if for this generation the Sequoia is the better looking model right out of the box.

Yes that roofline reminds me of an Infiniti QX60. Doesn't match the ruggedness of the front. We'll just have to wait to see. I was under the impression it'll have a Land Cruiser boxy appearance.

    Might be optical illusion.

Those previous Infiniti crossovers really took the swooping roofline way too far.

Any interior downsizing probably is baked into the new TNGA platform, as happened on the Tundra.

Nissan did the same thing with the Gen 2 Armada. Gen 1 was a NA platform, nice and big for NA market, then Gen 2 went international, getting a bit smaller.

Not too sure about these leaked pictures. Let's see how good this prediction is..

    Rear window will roll down
    One size only (no XL)
Decently equipped SR5 4x4 will run about $55,000.
Limited will be at least $60,000
Interior will be a little smaller but still competitive with Tahoe and co.
Upper trims will have the 3.5TT Hybrid
MPG will be the same as the new Tundra
SR5 will stupidly not have a power lift gate
TRD Pro will be "late availability". In other words, we may see one driven by a hockey mom sometime in 2023/4.
If 3rd row legroom is even 1mm shorter than current gen, someone will post here that it's a "deal breaker"
Key Fob will still look like it's 2005

Looks Highlander-ish. I really hope they’re not trying to compete with the Ford Explorer Sport.:pout:
This would be a far more-used deletion than the tow hooks.

Do you know if the flat-floor with the seats folded down is at least 6 feet in length with the tailgate/hatch closed?

Oh yes, I was building/offering King Shocks for it a few years back. Market was simply too soft... maybe the 3rd gen will change it!

From what I’m seeing, neither the LC300 or LX600 have fold flat second row, and don’t see them having the fold forward function like the 4Runner does. I’m wondering if the battery for the hybrid makes this impossible.

That actually may be a deal breaker for me.

The platform is scalable so potentially the Sequoia can go as far as the 8 ft Tundra bed. Not easy to do though in the only fullsize truck plant they have, San Antonio. I think you're SOL for XL.

However, if you want a roomy 4WD fullsize SUV with a TTV6 the new Sequoia should do that. We'll see. The LX600 is ridiculous. $86k minimum, small passenger and cargo space. Slap in the proven MTS and Crawl Control along with the proven auto 4HI into some of the Sequoia trims and they could have a beast.

I've been "Toy"ing with the idea of a full size SUV to replace my Tundra, and really like the new Wagoneer, but decided against it due to long term reliability. If the new Sequoia has a 10K tow rating I may reconsider. Look forward to the unveiling on the 25th. But, I may just drive on and keep my Tundra and put a topper on it.
