Steve, you still have a warranty on that truck? From what I read, make sure you have a battery charger hooked up to your truck while you load the tune.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Why would you need a battery charger hooked up while loading the tune? Doesn't make any sense unless you cant start the truck and the tune takes 24 hrs to load.

Yeah I know. Everything I've read on it says you need one and if you don't, you run the risk of bricking the ecu.

Well just remember to return to stock before you take it in or they might void that warranty

yep bank account is running low from it..
Main reasons for the charger on the battery, is so if the battery does a (DROP or SPIKE) when it has a load goes under it... Battery fluctuate is enough to kill a upgrade ... The charger keeps a straight line of voltage/amps so the firmware/software can be loaded without power loss or amps.

Anytime your doing any kind of ecm work (tuning also) always have a battery charger on the battery. This is also done in at the drag strip..

Odsteve: the bully dog adds a line in the firmware on the ECM... The tech would have to look at the lines of code to find if the bully dog added it most cant read CODE..
