Has your dealer said they got allocated? You can’t order a Tundra, let alone a Pro. You get on a list and Toyota tells them how many they’ll receive. So far most have 1 for the year.

Nope. Doesn't work that way. Every car that comes down the line is a different color. They do not batch build by any kind of spec; color, trim level, drive type, etc.

Ive been on the list since November and sent in my build sheet, I’m pretty high on the list (so I’m told). I’m gonna talk to my dealer today to see how many they have allocated.

Just got a call from McLarty Toyota in North Little Rock, AR. They have a 1794 Hybrid in stock. “84 out the door”. Rhymes. That’s about the only thing that sounded good about it. Pickups are sooo expensive these days.

what he's saying is orders don't work like they often do right now. your dealer takes your build sheet and submits it in their weekly/bi-weekly allocation request to toyota. from the 50 dealers or so i've talked to in the last few months none of them remember getting anything specific from their allocation request actually allocated to them, other than generic requests.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
That means they’re marking it up well over $10K.

    Yeah screw that.

I told dealer i wanted to order a 1794 hybrid with a TRD package about 1 month ago. Told me not worth it to take deposits. About 1 week ago i was called to take a $500 deposit and told $4k over MSRP with a 6-12 mo estimated wait. Named dropped a friend who works there for “friends and family” pricing and was told $1995 over MSRP for hybrids really was the best.

Out of seven dealers in my area, within an hour drive, only three are currently at MSRP for the hybrid, and one of those undervalued my trade by $4000. So I have two dealers where I put a deposit down for a Hybrid Platinum Tundra.

You really have to do a lot of calling around. The deals are out there, for now at least.

Mine is $2k over but it's nitrogen tires, full ceramic tint, and full front PPF. Not the worst.

I can dig ceramic tint and PPF. Those add value. Nitrogen tires is the biggest crock of shit ever. What a rip.

I’ve got 78% nitrogen in mine.

    Or you could just wait.

This time next year when we’re in a recession there will be deals to be had.

I spoke to them about this same truck. It's right at $70k MSRP but they're adding $15k due to "market availability." They're not expensive because they're worth it, they're expensive because someone with enough money or not enough sense isn't willing to wait. It's priced me out of the truck unfortunately.

Doesn't surprise me about McLarty. Landers Toyota did not charge me any kind of "market adjustment", but that was for a Limited, non-hybrid.

Craftty, what does "confirmed" mean? I found a hybrid for MSRP scheduled to be built in a few weeks. Its far along enough where the dealer cant modify or add options/accessories to it.
    Cheers

Nice, my Iforce max limited came in at 67k after the TRD off-road package, Sun roof, JBL, headlights upgrades, side steps. Bed extender (don’t want or need). No markup besides the add ons.

I'm paying MSRP, but what nobody mentions is the couple thousand in accessories that I honestly don't want.

    upload_2022-5-24_19-49-15.jpg

I'm unsure what the Vehicle protection premium package is. I could honestly do without any of this, though.

I just had a solar octane pro fall in my lap. Delivery next month. Has a markup but I can justify with my 21 pro and f150 sales and upcoming lightning flip.

I didn’t take possession it’s a reserved incoming unit. It’s build date is 6/14. I’m holding on to it until I have pro in hand.

It’s in Houston. I had reached out a while ago but they said they weren’t getting one. They ended up getting one and prob only one for 22 model year.

Took a lot of debating. I thought the pro looked cheap when I saw the lunar rock one but the solar octane looks better. I love the platinum ambient lighting, digital review mirror, thigh extender, black headliner.

But a pro is a pro lol. I also like the console configuration of the pro over the platinum. I like the blacked out panels and vents and the “TRD” touches.

Love the pro look but I didn’t figure it would aesthetically that much different then the platinum or 1794. Figured it would have all the bells and whistles

Mine is the exact same way. The TRD OR package is the only thing that I really wanted. I’m also ok with the safe and the dash cam. It’s the other 4k in stuff I’m like…damn. It was 57,095…and then came all the stuff.
