HVAC blower fan upgrade

So my new blower arrived today. There's a reason that I received mine before a lot of people. Serra sent me the one for my 2020 Tundra, not the LC one that the invoice shows that I ordered...

 

Did you enter your VIN# with the order by chance? If so, I'm guessing they sent the part based on VIN and not the part number you actually ordered. Just a guess.

Bummer. Hopefully you can send it back for the LC model. Not sure what their return policy is.

 

Considering that my invoice shows the LC one that ordered, they better send me the LC one that I ordered.

I’d love to upgrade the seat fans in on my 1794 to something a bit stronger.

 

I blew the logic board on the first new fan. The original is brushless.

There are diffences. Like reversed polarity and the logic board smaller on the new one.

On coils I misordered they took them back no questions minus shipping.

Bluetooth fuse.

Movement is from cutting into it.

 

Looks like I've joined the club. My fan is not blowing any air out of the vents. I'm assuming it's the blower motor? I'll have time tomorrow to look into this more.

Just waiting for a sale to order. Perhaps the 10-14 holiday but at least Black Friday.

 

Mine shipped today as well. The hurricane damage will delay its arrival most likely.

 

Mine is showing delivery for tomorrow.

 

So some dealerships are having a 25% off parts until end of the month, Fred Anderson being one of them, so I went ahead and ordered one.
Not in a total hurry but yea, could use it for sure.

Ordered from them as well, received an email that it’s currently on back order with no ETA.

 

I was told the same. I sent back an email and said fine I'll wait.

 

Mine arrived today.

 

So I posted the order as soon as I got it done, roughly 9AM CST yesterday, got two emails, one order confirmation and one invoice, didn't get anything saying about backorder....
Did you guys get a third email about it? Just wondering....

 

I ordered mine yesterday morning and got a 3rd email a few hours later directly from Charlie about it being on back order and if I'd like to keep the order or cancel/refund.

 

Oh...... it's almost 24 hours to the point of me ordering it, and have not seen the 3rd email, so fingers crossed that it will ship on-time, whatever that means.....lol

 

Maybe you got the last one on the shelf

 

If that's the case, I would need to go and buy a couple of Powerball tickets once it ships.....lol

 

So yea, reached out to Fred Anderson, asking why they issue invoice/charge the card then cricket, this is what they responded to.
I mean, fine. No communication, also, it is custom to charge only when you ship, assuming you have stock. In the case of out of stock or back-ordered, card should not be charged when no product is available.

The last parts sale I ordered from Serra Toyota and didn't hear anything for a few weeks. When I spoke with them the said they had received over 1100 orders so it would take some time before mine was at the front of the line.

About a month after I ordered, I received an invoice but nothing else. When I emailed them they responded with:
The blower motor is on backorder and the invoice had to take place before you credit card authorization voided once that happens after 28 days which is mandated by the card companies your order would cancel.

 

Sounds in line with what I got....
Which blows my mind, why would you allow a sale on a back-ordered product with no ETA on availability?
The Toyota system only allows orders but not checking against stock inventory, if there was ever one to begin with.
