I'm noticing that this new to me truck has warm air lightly blowing out of the dash vents and defrost vents constantly. Even when the dial is in "feet only" mode. Is this normal for these trucks or is my blend door screwed up?

Press the recirc button. That will close the fresh air blend door putting the ventilation system into recirc mode.

I opened a case with corporate about this very thing years ago.

From what I was told by Toyota, the ventilation to all outputs remain slightly open on all settings.

The recirc closes the input through the cabin filter and slows down the flow, but the output vents are always open.
Their reasoning in doing this was to keep "fresh" air moving through cab at all times to further reduce stagnant air as required by some higher power lawmakers.
The only way to stop it completely is with the recirc on and you have to block the vents behind the rear seats on both sides of the cab. (In the botton corner of the c pillar). I blocked them and did a test run. The doors would air cushion themselves adjar and not close fully without being whipped closed almost slamming shut. I said no thanks.

Idk, I shut all the vents on the dash and curse at them when the air is still coming through. Lol
