Howdy all, got a few questions for you:

    1. Do you consider yourself a reader? Seeking out books to buy on a topic, reading about hunting topics that interest you.

    2. Do you tend to go towards forums for information about hunting and shooting rather than a book?

    3. Do you read hunting / shooting books for entertainment as much as information? Such as reading a book about hunting in Africa for the entertainment of the story, knowing that most of us cannot afford such a trip. Thus the story is to learn and experience some element of that hunting topic.

    4. Do you feel the shift of most social media has hindered / suppressed books and stories about shooting and hunting?

I'd love to know your thoughts. I work in the firearms industry and kicking around the idea of publishing book #2, but the market seems against it.

    Thanks.

You might want to consider removing question #4 from your post. Mods do not allow any politics what's so ever to be discussed on this forum. Keeps the community engaged.

Modified, but that's somewhat of an important element to the question.

I get it. But asking opinions about left, or right leaning thoughts promotes political diiscussion, which is heavily frowned upon and bans are issued for politics.

There are so many other things to talk about beyond politics.

    To answer your question though...

1: I've read books all my life. Anything and everything from casual fiction, non fiction as well as a ton of useful "how to" books. However, I've never read a book, or even seen a book on hunting or about hunting before.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for sharing. There are a good number of hunting books written, many well over 100 years old, but it's something that I feel is going away quickly.

If you're thinking about publishing another book, go for it! Books give deeper insights than quick posts on social media, and there's still an audience for hunting and shooting stories, especially those with emotional, engaging tales like African safaris.

Focus on storytelling and use social media to promote it creatively. Offering discounts can also help reach more readers. Also saved on German news subscriptions to keep up with current events, which may be current for you. Good luck with book
