Got another date change! 4/21-4/26 now changed to 4/19- 4/24!

It ain't much, but it's better than later.

Ive checked 15-20 VINs in the last month and this is the only one I’ve seen with 2 X’s in the VIN. All other VINs have a number before the “NX”.
    Maybe that’s the issue??

interesting… I had someone(salesman) in the PNW check for me and it shows the dealer code and that the truck is pre sold. He just can’t see any detailed info like port/rail/freight status and such. Only thing I can figure is that it’s a Southeast Toyota thing.

Could be the Southeast Toyota thing. I’ve looked at a couple Platinums on Georgia dealer websites, none have 2 X’s in VIN. Seems odd.

Maybe someone else can explain the difference in the VIN.

I am intrigued if anyone has any further ideas. I tried 0-9 where the first X was and no dice

It seems the Southeast Toyota region has the VIN information blocked.

I’ve tried unsuccessfully to access multiple VINs, pulled from dealer webpages, in GA and Florida.

Of course, they have... dirty bastards! Appreciate you trying to look into it. Dealer told me next Monday (4/11) so we shall see soon enough.

This worked for me and I took it a step further. It's a simple API call, so I made a Shortcuts script to run whenever I feel like it.
If you have an iPhone or iPad (or even a Mac), you can run this in Shortcuts. All you'll need to do is add your VIN.

Update: Over the weekend, I received an email from Car Gurus that new Tundras were available in my area. Sure enough, one of the Tundras in the email is the one I am expecting this week.

I received a call from the dealership today (Monday) letting me know the truck has arrived and when did I want to pick up the truck? Luckily, I have Wednesday available and plan to do the transaction (trade/buy) Wednesday morning.

I tried to look up the VIN today using the guest.dealer.toyota.com method that I have used almost daily. It would not display any information on Chrome and only what looked like actual network activity. I copied and pasted the address into my Edge browser and was able to see the dealer info and that the truck is now 'G' status versus 'F' status.

Came in this morning fully expecting to see my ETA moved later. Surprising it was actually moved up to 4/13 to 4/18! As early as next week!!

Worked for me. Used several times…but my delivery date remains 4/10 - 4/15.

Great news, congrats! Mine has been given a 4/20-4/25 ETA and has stayed there since last week. Hoping it gets moved up but not expecting it to.

@scape I actually tried that haha Aren't you supposed to have yours soon? I'm getting the Dash Cam and all weather mats installed at the port and my dealer is doing free tint and full body protective film, so I feel like it's going to take even longer after it gets to the dealer.

As early as the 12th the screen says. I know the truck was still on the train yesterday. It is in Kansas headed to Kansas City, then on a truck to Springfield.

So assuming you bought from the Toyota dealership in Springfield then, assuming Springfield, MO. Since I'm on the wait list at the same dealership, do you mind if I ask when you put down your deposit?

My SR5 TRD Sport is scheduled to be delivered, according to the website, between 4/10-4/15. Called the dealer yesterday to see if he had a much narrower time frame for delivery, so I could begin making plans for my week (I live an hour away from dealer). The truck is on a rail car and is scheduled to be picked up by a car carrier on Thursday the 14th. Which means I am looking at Saturday the 16th or Monday the 18th. I was hoping it would be earlier in the range…

I am keeping myself busy by planning for the truck. As others have stated, my garage is barely large enough to contain the beast (12 inches to spare between the front and back of the garage). So I have been rearranging my tool racks, bikes, and such. I am also in the process of building small ramps for the rear wheels to use when backing in. My garage has a 4” step (or wheel stop) built into the floor, at the rear of the garage, creating a path to enter the house. I looked at purchasing curb ramps but, I decided to make a set.

I have a 1794 on the way, initially went to the dealership in early March to put on order.
Build date went from 3/26/22 eventually to 4/7/22 (getting a permanent vin that day)....after checking this tracking method, the dealer category is a "G".

Does that mean its getting delivered soon? I will find out soon enough just curious

@scape how is yours looking? Saturday morning mine went to 4/15 but today it's bumped back to 4/25. Mine is headed to St. Louis.

G usually means it’s on the ground at the dealership. I would call, personally.

I know the minute mine hit G, my dealership called & told me it was in!

I informed the dealer in September of last year I was interested in a new 1794 when information became available. They contacted me on Jan 12th that they had the allocation and I put a deposit down after some back and forth.

It is still showing 4/12 - 4/18 this morning. I spoke to my sales guy and the screen shows him a rail delivery of the 14th and on a truck the 16th. I was hoping for an Easter truck but my guess is it will be next week. The train car has sat in one place (according to the screen) for about a week.

    Any updates on yours?
