Same, a guy on here tracked it for me and said it just finished QC as well. Dealer claims he's expecting any day but of course you get better info on here than the dealer lol. Mine had some of the updates done is why i think it was held longer. But should be making it's way to freight. not sure if they rail them up to iowa or transport?

Your situation is exactly why I was sweating.... I defiantly would have lost my s#*t by now! I lucked out more than most. I was actually working with the dealer on a truck they somehow had on the lot [not sure how that happened!], but it got sold before we got our numbers inline. He then directed me to the allocated truck that I ended up putting the deposit down on 5/13/22 and have been waiting on since. Compared to yourself and others on here, it all worked out quite well for me. Hopefully yours will be on its way soon!

Awesome for you as well! I was told by the dealer that they rail them from San Antonio to Chicago, then offload them on to transports to the dealers. At least that's the process if you are in the Midwest area. I got the inkling that they are all railed to a major hub and then offloaded to transports, probably unless you are near enough to San Antonio that they would just straight transport them from the assembly plant.
My dealer says it's anywhere from 1-2 weeks from the time they are moved to "Freight" status, and since I am only about 4 hours from Chicago I'm hoping it's on the sooner end of the spectrum!

I’m thinking Toyota may have caught onto this. It seems to no longer work.

Mine was targeted to arrive July 18 - 26th. Was supposed to go from San Diego to Baltimore then get on a truck here. All I know is it arrived in port on 8/3 and is in QC hold but have no clue if it’s in SD or Baltimore. Frustrating.

Yes that is correct. This method no longer works and to my knowledge there isn’t another solution

I showed my dealer what it was showing on my spec sheet (delivery eta of 7/17) and he said what he sees is it's on the rail and an eta of 8/20. I doesn't seem like Toyota is updating the info anymore.

I doubt you’re doing anything wrong…since you only have your temporary VIN there’s nothing to track. When your dealer tells you your final VIN then you can begin tracking it.
