I just got a call to let me know that my Tundra that initially had a build date of 7/27 was updated to now show as built yesterday 7/1. Exciting news for me if that's true and not just a glitch in their system.

 

Can someone track my Tundra for me with a temporary VIN? Sales person giving no details. Told me 1-2 months, but that it's in "F-satus". VIN: 5TFMC5DBXNX005027

This was working fine till bout 2 weeks ago. Site comes up with forbidden error msg. Also my truck has been on the local dealer site for several weeks now. In the past 5 days it has vanished from the web page?

 

It actually still works, well kind of. Saw this in a another thread and it gives the same info, and if you inspect the page and follow the steps "click network, hit F5 to refresh" you'll see the same info. Just replace with your VIN.

I’m honestly not even gonna check mine. I know it’s on QC hold and at this point I am gonna just wait for the dealer to call me. I ain’t stressing anymore.

 

Hey Guys .. I have been told that the vehicle I booked is scheduled to be produced in the second week of August. I tried both links with temp VIN to check status but no luck.

Would anyone know if there is any link ghat works still for tracking the schedule and status ?

 

I applaud you sir. I had that attitude but couldn’t maintain it. Haha. Mine was built 4/29 and I am feeling extremely impatient now. But even worse there is literally nothing you can do except choose your attitude haha still not working great for me though…

 

Idk how you guys that have been waiting for so long stay calm. I've seen others posting here saying they've been on lists since December! That just blows my mind.

Haha I am sorry… I never look at that info thing. But spoken wisely - why worry when you can’t control it… not so much a worry as an annoyance / frustration. I think my expectations had a lot to do with it as well, hearing it would be here end of May… and now it’s July and still just sitting at the factory.

 

Ya I think there are two camps here. One you spec a truck and want exactly that so you wait forever. Or you just work with one dealer that doesn’t get good allocations. Or two you compromise or find a spec that is good enough and then try to get it as soon as possible. Seems like no matter which camp you’re in though you’re screwed… hahaha

 

Yes exactly. Mine was due to arrive at the dealer first week of July. It is at the rail yard as of 6/29 on QC hold. My hopes were so high now I’m just like whatever

Mime is slated to be built in Aug and was hoping it gets delivered in 4 weeks post that! ..

Honestly it seems like newer built trucks are moving faster. So I’m sure you will have a better experience than I. I have no idea what the problem is with mine… it just won’t ship…

 

I'm in camp two. Limited, TRD OR, and not white. Those were my only three requirements.

 

I was originally in camp one, when I thought you could just “build” a truck and then order it. Once I learned the whole allocation system and then how Toyota builds, I moved to camp two red was probably my last choice next to black. But that’s what came up so I went for it. Thankfully seeing pictures on here the red has grown on me… and it had everything else I wanted. Although I am bummed Toyota doesn’t spec the platinum with the option of TRD off road option

 

If I was looking for a truck two years ago I definitely would have been in camp 1. It didn't use to be hard to get dealers to swap vehicles with each other when the dealer you're working with finds the exact specs you want sitting on a lot at another dealer a few counties over.

On a positive note it should hopefully be back that way by the time we're ready to trade in.

so if build date was may12, and canadian dealer initially said june 15 delivery, then 21st, then july3, and now 3rd week in August ETA, should I assume truck is 99% built and just waiting on a part or 2? 5TFNA5EC1NX006472

 

My sales person said that it is in transit to VPC. How much more time till it gets to the dealer ?

 

I’m in IA. Truck was scheduled to be built on 7/1/22 but was actually built on 6/21/22. It has since been sitting on hold for some unknown reason (dealer doesn’t know and can’t see why). The VIN lookup/tracking site graciously provided by this forum doesn’t work for me but wondering if someone could check mine and see if anything pops up?

Started having a heart attack when I read on this forum that some people have been waiting months with their truck on hold. I gave the dealer my trade on 5/28/22 (they gave me several thousand more to give them it early) and was told my truck would be here late July/early August but it has been sitting in limbo for 3 weeks now. I know San Antonio was on a planned shutdown last week and have cut production due to the rolling blackouts/power grid problems TX is having but from what the dealer says it’s fully built just sitting there. I have a vacation coming up at the end of August I need my truck for so I’m sweating…

I swear this forum must be super lucky. Not 2 minutes after I made my post I got an email from the dealer saying my truck has passed inspection and is on it's way to freight. So hopefully in the next week/week-and-a-half I should have it!

 

Well shoot, maybe if I post something I’ll get a call. Deposit put down 12/17/21. Allocation 3/16. Finally built 6/3. Been held up somewhere since.
