Congrats!!! That is exciting. I am sure you will get a call in the day or two. What was your build date again? Was it in March?

Thanks man!. Now we'll see if the dealership keeps up on their end of the bargain. I have to admit, I might have peed myself a little when I saw that status change to G.

 

Build date was End of March. I can't remember the exact day. Somewhere around the 28th I think. Then radio silence for about a month till the guys here were able to track it for me.

 

Wow. You have had a long wait. I sure hope mine isn't another month out... my build date was 4/29, so just about exactly a month after yours.

 

@Dark, @bballjames, Just got a call from the dealer, they are unloading the truck as we speak! Picking it up tomorrow afternoon. My stress level just went way down.

 

Dude that is awesome! Congratulations!!! Glad everything is lining up for you to not have to resort to Plan B You'll have to send us lots of pictures tomorrow once you are able to take delivery!!!

 

I'm not liking these dates I'm seeing. Mine is supposed to have a build date of 7/27 and my dealer told me it could be on their lot by end of August, September at latest, but seeing these posts I'm thinking I may be lucky to see it by Thanksgiving.

 

Honestly I think it depends on what region you are in. Seems like if you are in the pacific northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana), processing and shipping times have been VERY slow. However, many in other parts of the country are getting their trucks must closer to the timeline your dealer mentioned. So kind of a crapshoot depending on where you are.

 

From what I've been hearing from friends in the area, They've been getting shipments daily from Toyota so hopefully everyone will be caught up soon.

 

Absolutely. They have to tint the windows and install the clear bra paint protection, I figured that would be a good investment since we'll be on the road, but my salesperson said they will have it ready by 3:00 tomorrow. They are also holding onto the TRD filters for when I pick it up.

 

@saleen079 did your status swap over to “G” or was it more or less a surprise when you received the call?

I checked it last night and noticed it had switch, so I had an idea that they would be calling soon.

 

I just spoke with my dealer and apparently my truck was pulled for inspection while on the way to my dealer. Anyone else heard of this? Almost wondering if they're bs'ing me since they've missed 4 deadlines on me.

The dealer has said it has been sitting in Indiana waiting to get on a truck - any truth to that via your resource?

@saleen079 SICK! SUPER HAPPY FOR YOU MAN! I'm leaving on my trip tomorrow. Make sure you ask them to inspect the rear axle bolts even if you weren't part of the recall.
Also ask them to program your key so you can open windows and sunroof with your remote. It takes 5 seconds to do. Some people are saying they charge $189 to do it but thats BS. Don't let them charge you!

After weeks of checking the VIN# stopped populating a page. Estimated train arrival was yesterday too.

Looks like many of those pages aren't working this morning. It's probably just some technical/server issue or whatever.

 

The guest pages don't work or the inspect feature doesn't work? I thought those pages were effectively just links to the build sheet not a "hack"?

likely it was never meant to be a "public thing"...even though it's exposed publicly, either as a mistake or that they didn't think anyone would "misuse" it

 

Huge bummer this no longer works. Now just completely in the dark holding on to updates from unreliable sales people

 

My salesman is pretty good. He even came to my house with his laptop and had a few beers while showing me all the Tundras they just had allocated so I could choose which one I wanted. He's my brother in law though so YMMV
