Slightly less messed up now. Still have to mess with it more but at least it's driveable now. Have to do some left/right adjustment still. Also noticed that with the motorized adjustment one side moves more than the other so not sure what's that about. image1_zpszp3ouyhy_65b5942568d7c612f5873dc3c5c89ace2886ded8.jpg

So now the driver side is a bit low. You just need to raise it up to passenger. You almost have it. Definitely looks better.

Do you think they still look off as far as being crooked. I notice the right size you see the cutoff under th windows and as you follow it left ends up in the middle of the window

Also how far apart should the step downs be apart, generally speaking?

No thats right! Remember the cutoffs bow. The further away you are from a wall the more it will curve, Its normal and takes some getting used too when driving. But the curve will light up areas on the corners and roads you will be happy its there.

Looks like I have it closer, but my high beams seem to be more off than the projectors.

Got mine in tonight ... Took me longer than I had hoped. 3 trips to the hardware store and the wife had me running around picking up stuff. I managed to come up with away to wire up my LED's to my parking lights without spicing but I ended up taking out my switchbacks (no fault of the retros, but with my VLeds). Time for bed, will post pics tomorrow as I gotta go to work at 4am.

Josh, your set up looks far better!

Your high beams are definitely off. There's no way to adjust the high beam as far as I know. They usually come pre set from factory.

Do you have the high beam connectors on the projectors? I can't remember. If so, you can splice the projector high beam to the factory high beam wires so you can use those.

a few quick photos I took before turning in for the night ...

no photos of the cutoff but it didn't look to bad. Had to tweak one side to try and get them level ... raining now, but will try to take a picture later tonight when I get home from work.

If they are connected, it would be brown/white coming from the projector. I usually don't connect the high beam on projectors for gen 2, but it's possible I did.

I went with the RX350 projectors ... I'll try and get some cutoff photos tonight if the rain lets up.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

Not the best pic but realized I didn't post a pic of them actually on the truck. Here they are with the Morimoto XB fogs

Yea I was going for a factory OEM look! Pleased with the result. Had I had a darker colored truck and black wheels and all that jazz I probably would have had the inside painted black.

    Instructions by @eledobleu

    DRL DELETE MOD

    1. Remove dash panel (since cab). Its the panel where the mirror controls, door light switches and leveler knob is.
    2. Locate Flasher Relay
    3. Locate the SMALL GRAY WIRE (not the big wire). Its two vertical rows, it will be on the first row of wires.
    4. Cut small gray wire.

    Done.

    ================================

In this process I just popped out the gray wire pigtail I don't need to cut the wire just in case I decide to go back to stock to sell or trade in my truck, if this is the case just pop in the pigtail again and simple as that

I'm still waiting for my retros, just getting everything ready for an easy install :)

I just used a simple pin like this one c15b3c4a2e0b8b3409dfdbd27af17589_c6e49e381e08439ae871996ae1f1d842abe29a6c.jpg

And sorry didn't took pictures or a video on how to do it step by step but I found this video, our conector is almost the same kind
Just release the latch that prevents the pigtails from loosening or taking out, insert the push pin and pop out the pigtail from the conector

In the video go forward to 8:30 where he starts doing what I'm talking about, I hope this help out because I know there's a lot of people like me that hate cutting factory wires

It's what I ended up doing. Wasn't too fond of the idea but looking at the area it just looks like a lip and the metal is kinda bendable with pliers so I figured structurally it wouldn't hurt anything. He did offer to take my lights apart and move the projector forward a bit for clearance but I was lazy and didn't feel like sending them back. I just trimmed it, although not as much as that guy. Used my dremel. And then just painted over the bare metal that resulted with touch up paint.

Well I cut the fender liner metal today and they fit nicely now. Now I have to aim them again. At least they look great.
