So I changed my own oil a few months ago and my 'Maint Req'd' Light has come on. I looked into it and found out how to reset it. It's the most elaborate compared to any vehicle I've ever owned. I did a search here and didn't find it so hopefully this helps someone out and I apologize if it was already posted.

1: Turn key on and change odometer to Trip A
    2: Turn key back off
    3: Hold down odometer button
4: With button still held down, turn key to 'on' but don't start the truck
5: You will see a count down in place of Trip A that has some dashes '-----' and they will tick down to nothing. Keep holding until Trip A is back on the LCD.
    6: Done

That is kind of a ridiculous series just for something as simple as resetting an idiot light. I've had all of my services done at the dealer so far. A couple services back, they forgot to reset it so I stopped back in on my next trip to town. This would've been handy to know then so I wouldn't have had to make the stop. Thanks for the info!

My Tacoma was the same way for the maintenance light. The Tacoma also had a similar sequence so you could shut off the seat belt chimes which you can't do on the Tundra. I keep a copy of the maintenance light routine in my glove box.

Has to be on Trip A? Tacoma would do it from any display on the mileage readout... at least on my 06 and 09 Tacoma.

Virgilus11 perhaps? I sold your old Tacoma and bought a Tundra... 100k miles on her and fairly rock sold... well after the new third member went in and 3 wheel bearings... :)

Don't remember exact sequence for my 09. I was able to google it at the time. Even though this is the best Tundra forum, Tundra HQ is a good source for most of that type of info. Tundra HQ is not really a competitor to any Tundra forum. It's mostly an info site.

Watch this video on how to reset the maintenance require light on a 2007 Tundra; pretty sure others are similar.
