    damn that's a pretty cool mod. I wonder if you can use the rear window switch for the 5thgen 4runner. If I remember right it doesn't protrude like that one does.

    I'm not sure. But I like the way this one sticks up, with this location and how the switch is, fits just perfect for the finger tip.

    So did this mod last night. The 36” wiring just barely reaches. I had to stretch it so far I pulled a pin out of the harness ordered a 8” add on today. The pin popped back in and works fine just to tight for my liking. Another option for 40" wiring harness would be perfect.

    Hello! Sorry to hear you had an issue. We have not had any complaints with the 36” harness not being long enough, but I know some move the switch to different locations or maybe route the wire differently. Either way no worries we took your feedback and added a 42” option on the website. If you run into any issues linking the ones you have, shoot us an email and I will get the 42” on the way to you. Thanks for your purchase let us know if there is anything else we can help with!

    Wow, that is great not the product's fault. The routing just made it tight so having the extra wire would greatly help with this mod.

    $100 to move a switch. I know i'm cheap lol

    ...I do hate the stock location of the switch on these trucks though..

    Would be bitchin if you offered the filler cover as an option instead of having to order it from someone else.
    15.00 shipping on a 4.00 part makes me not so interested.

    So not sure how anybody could get less than a 44" harness to work. I bought the 36" one and ended up splicing in an additional 12". This worked perfect. I sent an email and ended up talking to Jim at @Accessorides. He was very receptive of the feedback. CN Designs and Accessorides are great people to do business with. I wish more customer service was this way.

    Just installed my CN Designs switch holder for my ditch light switch. Want to move my rear window switch to one of the slots like you have here. Seems pretty straight forward, but I do have a question about how the switch fits in the switch panel.
    Is it as simple as popping it in like the light switches or did you have to do anything different to get it to fit?

    Does the switch panel just pressure fit or have to be screwed in? I don’t want to see any screws personally.
    Thanks

    The switches just pushed in. If I remember it's just two tabs that hold it in place.

    @Do58
    I'm pretty sure CN Designs has two options available. One that has exposed screws and one that does not. I chose the not exposed option and mine screwed into the console from underneath.

    Thanks, got it mounted up. Looks very similar to your setup. I went with the bolt option just to tie in with the AJT kit with the bolts everywhere else. I'm now trying to figure out how to move my Tow/Haul switch to that panel.

    I see you have a 2020 but the link at the top says the harness is up to ‘17. Is it the same harness or is there a different model number for extension harness?
    Thanks
