I've programmed my HU/Maestsro with the PID's to monitor the BF temps, and determined temps to be well within spec.

Do I still need to drain/fill?

Are you aware of the Gen III recall? regardless of how many blinker fluid changes you make, the viscosity of the fluid or the signatures on the bottle, some will just lock up. Sad situation. Especially for the hybrid owners. They get the lock ups but are not included in the recall.:crapstorm:

    Great Info!

**Tech Tip #04 - I would also note that before you follow the steps you'll also need to obtain the correct blinker fluid plugs to match the size drill bit you use to drain. Without having the plug on hand you cannot refill the fluid without it too draining onto the ground. This renders you unable to drive to the autoparts store since your blinkers will not correctly function. Make sure you get the plugs before you start the process. My neighbor was forced to take an Uber to Autozone because he forgot to pick them up in advance.

Or maybe not… IIRC amsoil blinker fluid is only toxic (or might be) in California.

This is only true if regular Kanuter valve maintenance has not been done.
As we know, the Kanuter valve is critical to proper Blinker Fluid injection.

    Service your Kanuters people!

We can't have those; it would mean that one person outperformed everyone else over the course of a given year and it would be detrimental to the development of an entire generation (or two)

How does this relate to the potentially critical need to simultaneously replace the wire harness smoke? And will this meet or exceed the OEM requirements?

The easy way to do this is by putting your tundra on an auto rotisserie, flip it, use the fill hole to drain it, there by avoiding drilling a new hole....it's in the manual, trust me
The manual also recommends turning your motor on while the truck is flipped over so oil can lube the top portion of the motor real good. I find this service is best performed at 3am pst

    Good luck folks

I use only made in USA wire harness smoke. Avoid the Brit crap.

Does this apply to people in AZ? We either don't use them or we drive with them on and have no intention of turning.

The additional use of blinker fluid must be why most "drivers" us a turn signal, instead of HAZARD FLASHERS!o_O

hard to vote on a post of the year this soon but it's got a chance.

let them suffer. They can create whatever developmental problems for themselves they want to. And then big pharmacy will benefit from it somehow.

You must use TechStream to properly engage the blinker fluid recalibration procedure so that the canbus sensors are correctly calibrated. That's why they say you have to have the dealer perform the service on the Gen 3's
