Red’s gonna go to red and purple to purple on the headlight harness you build.

    These I assume?

Also, will need to go back and review my notes, on the pigtails I recall you told me to remove the purple lead?

One last post of relay before I start the install, does this look correct?

A big Thanks to Roger and Thomas!

Black to cab to DRL flasher relay J29.
Purple/fused to battery, will add in-line fuse (10 amp).
Red and Purple (black connectors) to Thomas's harness.
Added purple (grey connectors) to Thomas's D and P pigtails.

Has the updated write-up for the setup that only uses 1 relay rather than two been posted yet? @thomasbus337 ?

well this was the most confusing thing i have read in a while. i just bough a pair of platinum/1794 lights and that will be going in my PRO. all i really want is for the led bottom strip to light up, not concerned if it blinks or dims. is it really that difficult to get the led strip to illuminate full time when the key is on?

If you don’t care if it stays on bright than you don’t need any of this. But if I were you I would make it dim. It’s oretty bright if they don’t. If you want the easiest method buy the harness from @iHacker
He will build it all for you.

Ok so ihacker got back to me and doesn't build that harness and neither does eledoubleu. I tried to pm @inforno_pro_satx and haven't heard anything back. I just need the simplified how to to either build the harness to make the platinum/1794 led day time running work or someone who can build it for me. Thanks

    @94slowbra

You will need to get two do these white connectors with pins (two each) some wire and an add a fuse to tap off an ignition source in your fuse box.

You can get the plug/pins from www.BMotorsports.com

    (2) Toyota 4 Pin Male plug 90980-10868or CONN-75929 (USE ONLY IF ADDING DRLS to NON DRL TRUCK)

@94slowbra , if you aren't picky about the bottom DRL strip blinking with the directionals and being on with the stock amber DRL bulb, then check out eBay for item 132437959062

Thanks bluebottle, I'll get the connectors and add a fuse. I have a wide assortment of wire.

Thomasbus337: I don't need the led drl strip to do anything but be bright during the day and dim when the lights are on. No need for blinking or changing colors or anything like that. I'm going to leave the factory amber as a turn signal only

    Thanks guys

If you get the eBay harness they will be dim all the time. I just helped another guy on the forums with this issue with the eBay harness

Curious, why will they be dim full time?
$30 for both harnesses would be sweet.

Inferno_pro_stax, Thanks for the diagram. That simplifies the last 9 pages greatly

I’ve already installed my 2018 lights. Headlights work fine and signal light blinks normal until I turn on my parking lights or my headlights. The blinker starts flashing fast. Can’t figure out why, Hans told me to check my ground. Just waiting for some daylight to check.

I did repinn both sides. The shop that did it for me jacked it all up. I wasn’t confident that I could tackle it myself so I took it to get it done. Big mistake, never again.

Well everything was redone and it worked great for about 2 days. Now my headlights and DRL’s don’t work. Very frustrating.

I will take some pics today. My regret is I had a shop install them because they were doing a grill on my truck so I figured since they are there might as well do the lights.
