@jdm ctr '00 did you get an actual purple wire to match passenger side with the driver side of @thomasbus337 harness? That part to go from 2 Relay to 1 confused me

I just added the purple wire to the other side along with the plugs. I have to get the red wire from the relay into pin #1 on that plug also.

The 2 relay was the beginning stage Thomas was using, the 1 relay is factory function. The purple wire is going to purple wire at the c -bulbs on both headlights. The red wire on both headlights on the drl’s is going to 87 on the relay.

I Kinda Put the wires on the diagram as if they are going to their spot. Notice the yellow butt plug lol that’s 86/30 this will go to the in-line fuse holder. The other end of the in-line fuse holder will go to the battery. The single red wire in the middle is 87 and that will have 2 separate wires crimped on the other end. These 2 wires will be used for the RED #1 pin on the black plugs I just added the purple wire to(one for each side black plug). The blue wire is the one that you will take into the truck and attach to the gray wire. The other red wire that is tied up is 87a and will not be used.

Yes, you can remove the purple wire from the original 3 pin plug and then insert it into the 75928 FEMALE plug in position 2. Then use the 75929 male plug on the opposite end so basically you'll be making this harness

and swapping the ends so the male term'd plug will be on this harness and the female end will be connected to the existing purple parking light wire and the red wire from your DRL relay

@jdm ctr '00 this may be a stupid question but does the wire added to the LED DRL Relay harness have to be purple? I’m so lost on this thing it’s sad

The purple is the low side of the DRL LED’s and goes to the purple at the bulb purple

Where the red wire on the DRL LED’s goes to the 1 relay set up.

Thank you so much for posting this picture. That's exactly what I needed to visualize what needs to be done. There were just too many words for me to cipher through.

I think we use the word butt-splice instead of butt-plug. Made me crack up this AM.

@jdm ctr '00 will this diagram show me how to build the single relay with the existing @thomasbus337 SR5 harness he sent me, the moto H4 I got and the parts you listed? I want to make this right. Is the whole purple wire thing part of this or do I add it? Sorry I know I sound stupid

Yes @thomasbus337 harness will work with the 1 relay set up. Mine works perfect. His harness originally was made for the 2 relay set up. You would need to add the extra purple wire on the turn signal harness he made. If you look at your harness for the turn signals you will notice only one side has that loose open end purple wire.

Once you add the wire just follow the diagram I drew up.

@jdm ctr '00 just so I am clear, I need to get some purple wire to add to the other side? Like brand new wire to add? Does it have to be purple? If so is it a certain size or special wire? Sorry I have no idea how to work with car electronics so I apologize for all the questions.

It’s doesn’t have to be purple just as long as the pin 6 goes to purple at the 3 pin connector 3 bulb.

I spent some time going through the front of truck and redoing my SR5 LED DRL relay harness wiring using inferno_pro_satx’s single relay setup. The operation was a success and now they function completely like stock. Doing it this way, I could remove the AOB dash switch and its associated wiring under the dash. I have less clutter without all the bulky double relay wiring. The best part is I now have bright DRL with the parking lights and fogs on (I did the anytime fog light mod earlier) WIN

Did you post pics on how to do the anytime fog mod? There is info out there but their photos are really hard to understand where the wires are really.

I don’t have connectors names off hand but at the pcm 2nd connector last row you will see a pink wire if you depin it and connect it to the gray wire at the drivers kick panel depin as well and fogs will Work with the parking lights on. . It’s gonna be the gray wire #3 left side of the connector, the connector is right above the srs connector

Makes sense thanks! So you connect the wires from the harness sides to each other? If they were both depinned nothing would be in those locations?

Does this work with trucks w auto headlights?

My arrows ID the correct wires?
