We already know the pin outs for the 2018 headlights. The SR, SR5,Limited and PRO crowd is interested in how to supply the power to the red and purple wires

So what would the diagram look like for us SR, SR5 and Pro people? :)

Let me ask a question for clarification, I purchased the harness, additional pigtails from Thomas for 2016 Limited CM, and received my 2018 HLs yesterday. My question, in order to make these work like factory I will need to make an additional pigtail, from this thread in addition to what I purchased from Thomas? Sorry for the question, but I am not clear on what I need to do/fabricate moving forward. I was hoping what I purchased from Thomas would be all I need....

    Thanks

Looking at that diagram, it would only plug into one side of the headlight?

Both red from the drl harness on the headlights go to 87 on the relay, both orange on the drl harness go to purple at the c bulb harness and black ground.

I think what I purchased from Thomas is all I need, the harness and the pigtails for a 3rd Gen, just would like confirmation as I'm not sharpest tool in the shed...

Just reread how @thomasbus337 harness works, its up to him if he wants you reconfigure it to the newest diagram with 1 relay instead of 2
. It will not be hard.

The harnesses I put together were designed to be PnP with the Platinum/1794 models with the factory matching female 4 pin DRL plug to interface with the 4-pin male plug already on the truck. SR, SR5, Limited and Pro models need to provide their own relay, 4 pin male mating plugs (CONN-75929) and wiring to add the LED DRL’s.

I had put together an adapter harness for the 3-pin directional/park light and the driver’s side adapter has a 24” lead purple wire which was originally intended to be a park signal input for the 2-relay setup.

If you have one of my adapter kits that came with the purple wire lead only on one side you can either use the 2-relay setup mentioned at the beginning of this thread or switch to the single relay setup. To do this, you’ll only need to add in a purple wire into the passenger side adapter using an extra wire seal and terminal from the CONN-75929 kit to replicate the driver’s side adapter. Then attach a 4-pin male plug (CONN-75929) to your red wires from the relay setup and purple wires from the signal adapters on each side to interface with the 4-pin female plug on my PnP headlight harness.

    Does this sound/Look right?

    Parts:

    2- CONN-75929 male plug
    4- CONN-100550 cavity plug
    1- Extra wire seal & terminal(conn-75929)
    1- H41410081 relay
    1- H84708001 relay plug
    1- waterproof in-line fuse holder

Misc. plastic wire loom/16 wag wire/heat shrink/butt connectors.

This is my diagram, can you confirm if it’s correct?

Looks correct as long as his purple wire goes to the orange on the drl Headlights.

According to the plug pin out on his harness it says:

Pin 6 is the DRL LO/Parking Lights for the headlight plug and the DRL(4pin) Plug Pin 2 is the Purple. The Purple DRL(Pin2) LO is going to Pin 6 DRL LO on the headlight plug.

I was trying to clear up this confusion earlier, but on the back of the 14-17, Platinum/1794 headlights the LED DRL wiring was visible coming out of a grommet on the headlight. That is where the reference for the "orange" DRL wire is coming from. On the actual truck wiring, the DRL low wiring is Purple/ Violet.

The 3rd part listed is the left over parts from the 2 male plugs(75929). You will only be using 2 pins. When you order those plugs they come as a kit: you get 5-pins & 5-seals.
