    It would be iffy. The washer on the inside gives it a base to tighten against when you are cranking down the nut on the threads. It's chrome-plated plastic and could crack during tightening, or in 3 months when you hit a pot hole.

    So yes, but be prepared for the possibility that you will have to open up your headlights again if it shifts/breaks.

    And furthermore, I completely forgot about this thread. Good to see the information is still useful many years later.

    The only issues i've had is my Morimoto relay harness from TRS started acting funny and randomly causing the drivers side ballast not ignite. Bought a new one and now they turn on with no issue. I just need to polish my headlights again as they are showing just a bit of yellow from the Texas sun.

    Thanks again for the write up! I’m going on 4 or 5 years with the retrofit and had identical problems with relays and clear coat. This is one of the best functional mods I’ve done to the truck.
