I needed more storage capacity for when we go fishing...especially for rods. I got the largest defender rack I could find, cut it down to fit the bed, and then raised it with higher mounts so I could still access the bed.
It just doesn’t look right to me though. What do you think?

It’s unique, but I don’t think it looks bad.

If it serves its purpose and works. It looks good. Wouldn’t leave like that all the time. Looks good to me. Nice job.

Not too bad, I think it needs to sit lower.

It’s definitely not ugly. It’s functional and it sits lower than the cab so that you could stack stuff in it without being over the cab. Go with it! GTG!

My dad had one on the top of his Jeep Wagoneer. I always thought it looked cool.

I'm digging it. I like the usefulness of it, while maintaining a badass low profile footprint.

I like it, low profile. You could fab some rocket launchers at the rear window end @ what angle you prefer for your fishing rods:thumbsup:

I had it on there at the height it is placed by the mounts that came with it. I couldn’t even get to the bedcover to open it.

We don’t usually take the truck for beach fishing. Just for boat and pier.
The Jeep is rigged up for beach fishing with rod holders installed in the front bumper.

I’m also thinking a roll bar might bring it all together, but haven’t decided yet.

Why are mods turning the entire board into some personal game? This crap is annoying enough to stop visiting.

    Lost track after #1.
I'd raise it up so I could see out of the back window when it's loaded up, and to keep the line of the roof going. When it sits that low it breaks up the lines and looks off IMO.
