I had that same problem with my seals and doors during winter in Anchorage with my Taco. Always parked outside. By the time it started warming near Spring I had an inch of ice that had built up on my driver's floor mat. We did have Monster Wash there that I used. Way big enough to get a full size lifted truck into but still had to deal with the frozen seal/windows/door thing constantly. Fun times.

I hand wash once a week in the winter. Sometimes twice if she gets really sloppy. Ahh, the benefits of having a heated shop with floor drains :D. Usually one every week to week and a half in the summer.

I wish I could wash mine more. I usually wash after a trail run or highway salt spray trip during the winter. It’s -20 Celsius here have the year so a pain in the ass to wash during winter. It sits dirty in winter a lot!:( Especially since I broke my fender flares off so the tires spray crap everywhere!

Here in Florida, usually Dec to spring might be a weekly thing for me if I don’t have anything to do, but on summer when it pours, it depends.

Usually a few times in the winter when the weather is warm enough for the car wash to be open and the rain has washed the salt off the roads... a lot of stars aligning there...

In the summer I'll hose it off if a bird shits on it or I get mud that the rain won't wash off... Doesn't see much soap in the summer... lol

Agh reading some of these comments make me cringe. You people running your truck through a car wash are doing more damage than not washing it at all.
On another note I don't go more than 2 weeks without washing the truck.

I wash mine about 4-5 times a year. 2 of those are day-long detail jobs including a wax and good cleaning of the undercarriage and engine bay.

I'm touchless car wash only. It does a crappy job, but it makes the truck shiny and doesnt scratch it...

Once a week in the summer. As close to that as possible in the winter.
I wash the dried salt off of it ASAP.

If weather and time were to permit i would wash it before it got dirty again.

Ive always enjoyed washing my vehicles, even my old beaters. Its not ocd or anything, i just remember how it was when i had a crappy ride and i would see my friends (not all, lol, but enough) nice rides.... The day they bought it and that was the last day they were nice. My crappy car was atleast going be a clean car cause crappy and trashed would have been embarrassing.

Side note as not to offend anyone. Theres a difference between being a busy person with a busy life, or you have kids and someone who has the time to throw away all the mcdonalds bags and beer cans.. I mean soda can piled up in the back floor board. My friends were mostly the latter.

When I first got it, I washed/detailed it every week. Then our RV park had us move from our premium spot on the water to a spot in the back that has no grass or gravel, but rather stays flooded and muddy...so as soon as I drive home from washing it, it’s filthy again. Now I just don’t really bother. I may spray it down at the car wash every few weeks, but no scrubbing or waxing. I don’t see the point.

Once a week minimum, weather permitting. This pollen is killing me though. Can’t keep it clean for an hour.
I really enjoy doing it though.

Does leaving it outside in the rain constitute a wash?
