This guy was so frustrated and didn't even care if he messed up the truck anymore. Lol

Na he needed to air down a bit. Lockers and sliders would've helped tremendously.

There is so much fail in this video it makes me sick.

First and foremost, understand every vehicle has its limits, no matter what lift, lockers, winch, tires you own.

Second, one spotter and one spotter only. All the others should have STFU. Most of his was caused by shitty spotter advice....and experience on his part. His problem started when he went in reverse at the top. At this point before the reverse action, a simple tug to the front and he would have been damage free.

At the top, all this could have been avoided by simply stopping, evaluating and coming up with a plan.

I am impressed that it wasn't worse. Glad he didn't have the FX4 package and a rear locker. That would have made the side hilling even worse.

Big fan of the diesel fuel (I'm assuming) in the red can.
Also, 24" rims probably aren't suited for the mud.
Also, wait for a winch, hero.

Not the first time I've seen ego jack up a vehicle / this guy didn't get winch help..... Buuuut.....can't tell you how many times I've seen a jeep with a winch pull out an idiot in a full size on the trail....... But only after they refuse the help of the winch ten times and do serious damage to their vehicle

I think the first mistake was turning his tires, to turn him directly into the tree. If winching, at least be straight? Love the path downhill to nowhere... Let's get even deeper into the shit!

Been there quite a few times before my Jeep became a trailer queen. Now I just go places that no full sized or under built rig can go. Saves the hastle and all the BS from this. We do "ice cream" runs once in a while and been lucky not to run into this sort of thing in the past three years.

Funny, when you own a winch, most of the time it isn't used for your stupidity. Ever since my last build, I may have used my winch 4 times. My last club we were in had a winch fund. Every time you took the rope, 5.00 went into the fund.

This is another reason I buy stock trucks only. This guy will get the body fixed. The next owner will most likely never know how trashed the truck has been. Diesel trucks, I purchase new, period. Way to much can go wrong with those motors in the wrong hands and a programmer.

All of my friends Powerstrokes are constantly broken because of the stupid tuners and crap they do to them.

I also don't know why rednecks think that diesel is the equivalent of "god mode". Heavy diesel trucks do a lot of things really well, but there is a reason why you don't see many diesel trophy trucks.

Has anyone seen the video of the lifted dodge trying to pull a ford out on a beach? The one where the dodge has the strap around the ball hitch. One good tug sent the ball through the windshield of the ford.

Depending on the years of the PSD:

2011-2014: turbos are undersized and overboosting in stock form. A tuner just quickens the turbos demise.

2015-17: turbo issue resolved, however a few other issues were caused that are due to regeneration of the DPF system. This in turn burns the valves on the drivers side. Head has to come off.

Other little Ford tidbits: exhaust up pipe flange leaks, NOx sensor problems

I do believe this is because of the "coal" produced out the tail pipe after emissions are removed and a tuner installed

In the specific years I stated, yes.

I was really close to buying a 16' F350 Lariat. After two of my buddies had to remove the drivers side head, that made that decision easer. 11-14 trucks seem to be pretty good.

Here is a picture of my buddies 2011, and he has 180k miles on his truck with no major issues. She (his wife)was pulling this load through Wyoming yesterday..6.5mpg. Ouch.
