I am searching for a new truck. Have a 2002 Tundra SR5 Access cab now. My neighbor offered 8k for it :)

Anyway, I've been checking online at a few local dealership's websites for a 2016 Toyota tundra SR5 2WD Double Cab 5.7L. I don't tow heavy stuffs and I don't do offroad or climb the mountain.

How much should I pay for?
I am thinking using truecar or costco.
Toyota is having a 1.9% financing now.

    Please advise!

    Thanks

Truecar is your friend. You can spec the truck you are looking for, enter your zip code, and it will tell you how much off the MSRP other folks have been paying in your area for a similarly equipped truck. Saves a lot of haggling time at the dealership...

    I paid $35K for my 2015 crewmax SR5 4x4. You should be able to get a 2016 DC 2x4 for around $30K.

Wow, 35k good deal for crew cab
One local dealer agreed to sell a 2016 SR5 double cab 5.7L for 33k + tax and lic. But it's silver. I preferred gray. They said I have to take what they have in stock for that price.

Yeah I got a hell of a deal. Either I have an awesome poker face or I got lucky. We'll go with I got lucky. Toyota sells every Tundra they make so they pretty much get what they want for them. Goes to show how good of trucks they are.

Is that DC for $33K a TRD? If it is, that's a good price.

    Admin,
Please delete this post. I ended up bought a 2016 4x4 5.7L DC TRD for 36k + Tax + Lic. Very happy with it. Time to start looking into mod :)

    Thanks everyone.

Looks really good! I just ordered a BedRug mat for my bed even though I have a spray in liner. Those damn ridges in the bed floor are too tough on my old knees!

Glad I went with the bedrug. My boys tried it out said they can sleep in it on our next camping trip. Easy install.
I also have a dee zee mat, not sure if I should put it on top of the bedrug to keep things from sliding.

Did the tail gate mat part come with adhesive promoter to help the hook fasteners stick to the tailgate?
