This is me agreeing with a flat earther about "gravity waves" and why rockets "don't really work"
    (Such a fool)
You see on a round earth, the rocket would only be exposed to some of the gravity, but on a flat one it would have to contend with ALL the gravity, hence it could never get off the ground. :D

Then I had to explain to him why a helicopter can't go straight up, wait for the earth to spin, then go straight down and land in a different place.

Circling back to this topic, I just had this text conversation with someone inquiring on a CZ Scorpion I have listed for sale.

After asking for more pics (I have like 6 uploaded in the ad) and asking several questions about the gun that are clearly answered in the listing he wants to send his brother with a pic of his ID...

Wildest dream so far... Holy shit. I was slaying demons who were disguised as hot girls with a friend that I haven't seen since grade school.... They're getting weirder and weirder

Need a lil truck advice. Should I try to piece together the bumper I have now with the caps I just got? I'm not sure if it's bent out of shape yet or not and probably won't know until I get it together and get it on the truck. Or, should I just say F it and buy this complete bumper that is a practically new take off?
If I use what I have I can put those funds towards a grill but I might not be happy with the results, if I buy the bumper it delays the grill by at least a week.

Personally it really depends on how much you care about how it looks as well as if you don't think it would piece together properly. I'm of the opinion that a little rash on a truck isn't a bad thing. But everyone is different. So I'd try and piece it together to take advantage of parts you have on hand if it were me.

I just want it to look complete and relatively symmetrical. I think I'm in the same camp of using the parts I have

My number 13s are bent for sure but they get hidden as long as I can get the panels to fit over them. Number 18s look like they could be pushed back a bit and that will effect the symmetry of the end caps

Could be worse, I'll finish trying to line everything up in the morning with some light.

My bodywork consisted of some kicks, some yanking on stuff, some chaining the truck to a pole and backing it up and lots of profanity.

Should've seen the neighbors when I had it chained to the street light and was peeling out in reverse trying to straighten the core support. They thought I was gonna yank the pole out of the ground
I originally tried a come along but it was just dragging the truck

I have seen many people learn the hard way with 1/2 tons and bed campers. 1/2 ton trucks are not capable of carrying those things outside of a F-150 work truck (payloads on those are over 2,000 lbs). 3/4 Ton or 1 ton all day for those campers.

The true weakness of the Tundra is its payload capabilities. My TRD Pro double cab is only 1,320 lbs. but I live with it. I just use a trailer for anything that is more than 1000 lbs. to be safe. Trust me you don't want a shock blowing out. I've seen it on the highway and that vehicle lost control and crashed in the grass on the side of the highway.

Almost 3k miles so far and it hasn't been an issue. I'm only 140 lbs over max GVWR and I am not overweight up front at all. I do understand that I need a bigger truck but it's just not even an option for me right now unless I want to spend every red penny I make on a truck payment for the next 5 years, Sometimes ya just gotta make due with what ya got. Id like to see how the folks who are destroying trucks are driving them to be honest, I think they might be hammering on em a bit.

My uncle's dementia is killing me, it's so sad to watch such a great man slip into oblivion like that. The worse part is that he catches himself doing the things and I can see the heartache in his eyes. If anyone knows tricks to help me help the guy just feel normal for awhile id love to hear them

there really are no tricks to help them once dementia starts. And yes the heartache is real for everyone involved. When my grandfather went through it, just being there was enough. The hard days were when he was asking who I was, why he wasn't in his house (the one he lived in for over 50yrs) and why that strange woman (his wife if 60 yrs) was always there.

He never knew who I was, I'm just that dude that he hangs out with sometimes and I kinda like that. Most days are good days, the bad ones are the worst, every one of em worse than the last. :(

Final assembly came out a little better. All the tabs on my headlights are broken, fender and hood are a lil bent so it has some weird gaps. It's so much better than it was that's it's stupid.

Sat here listening to weird noises in the wind for a couple hours before it occurred to me what it was, then took about 10 seconds to remedy it.
Storage along the side of the camper won't be a thing anymore, stupid drain pan rolling back and forth.

I hate to say it but it will only get worse and weirder. My father-in law just past away after dealing with Alzheimer’s for about five years. In the last year he believed people were stealing from him and he would move everything he owned into a single room in the house. We always had a good relationship but in the last year he thought I was one of those people who was stealing from him and he didn’t want me in the house. There are drugs that can help but he refused to take them. He got so paranoid that he started to booby trap his property. At night he would lay a board across the driveway that had large spikes sticking out of it and would barricade all the doorways in the house. I had to remove all the barricades and booby traps for everyone’s safety.

    Do lots of agreeing!:)

Most of my conversations were me saying yup, at least it keeps you busy, and it keeps you out of trouble! :) I did a lot of make believe in my conversations back and forth. I would agree with everything my grandmother and my mother would say!
My grandmother lived 7 years with it, thank goodness my mother only held on for a few months.

oh ya and my name would change multiple times throughout a day!! HA!:)
