For reference, I got a call from a large volume dealer I was inquiring with 3 weeks ago before all this happened.

I was just quoted 14% off MSRP before any negotiations on a 2020 Tundra Platinum CrewMax:

    • MSRP: $54,270
    • Offer: $46,637 (14% off MSRP)
    • Rebates: $2,750
    • Net Price: $43,887 (19.1% off MSRP)

2017 CPO Crewmax SR5, Sunset Bronze Mica, new tires, 26000 miles - $28900.

I received $31000 for my trade in, and was able to use tax credit from the trade to cover all the taxes.

As an update, they pulled a bait & switch. This was Koons Toyota of Tyson's Corner in Virginia. I don't recommend their tactics.

I'd put them on blast for sure; I used to live in VA (in the Navy from 96-03, lived in Williamsburg & Newport News) and dealerships tried that all the time.

The biggest thing that helped us was knowing (and THEM knowing) that they needed to sell a truck one hell of a lot more than we needed a truck. I just let them know what other dealerships were selling the truck for; and they came down and matched the price, and then some. (2020 CrewMax 4x4 SR5 w/TRD Offroad; MSRP was $48061, got them down to about $41500.)
