Are the fuel tanks the same size?

Personally, I’d go new.. better interest, better warranty?, peace of mind being original owner. You could add heated seats easier than living with a color you don’t particularly care for.

Great thoughts (and great question). Both have the 38 gallon tank.

Check out prices at mountain states Toyota just outside of Denver. I paid $37k (with the 1200 dollar discount Toyota was running at the time) for a 4x4 SR5 crewmax with the only option being the larger tank (convenience or plus or something). As was stated the platinum was roughly 9k more if that’s your cup of tea. Just sign up on their website for prices. I didn’t have to haggle and no one else could touch their price. Worth the drive if they have what you want and your local dealer won’t match. Good luck.

45,XXX for a 2019 1794. Truck had 6K on it, came with TRD exhaust, bedliner. Still not sure why someone got out of the truck, it has been perfect so far.

New 2019 Black SX back in September of 2019, (wanted red, but they had none left ) double cab with spray in bed liner.

I paid 36K, sticker was a little over 41K, plus they gave me enough money for my Highlander that I had 10K in equity on that! It was a win win situation. I do miss they hybrid gas milage and I LOVED my Highlander, but it wasn't practical with the house and yard, and no husband to own the truck!

I think I got a fairly good deal, I live in a state that doesn't have taxes, so you get a temp plate and then register it on your own within 20 days, so that was the out the door price. Also got 1.99% financing.

I paid too much for my truck, but that's what you get when it's October 2019 and the new Army Green Pro is the only 2020 on the lot. But it was raining and I was at a high volume dealer, so the sales manager was worried about his numbers. That means he gave me to much for my truck. Way to much. They held that truck for four months, eventually listing it online for $1k less than I got on trade. Between taxes, prep and whatever the final buyer paid, they lost a majority of the profit they got from my purchase.

Ramsey has his place, for those who are terrible with money. I’m good with the lower payments, leaves more money to invest, and a good write off for my business.

If helpful to anyone, I built a price analysis tool for folks who are shopping. It is attached here. Will help you compare dealer to dealer.

    Enjoy!

I imagine I could have gotten a better deal in the lower 48 but I didn't have the advantage of playing dealers off each other since I live in Alaska (only 1 Toyota dealer). None the less, I am happy with the price I paid.

The manager wouldn't budge for weeks but in the end, I finally got what I was asking for. I worked with them via email only because I live in rural Alaska and wasn't going to drive to the dealer until I had an agreement I was happy with in writing. Here are the details:
    • 2020 Tundra SR5 Double Cab
    • Cement
    • TRD Off-Road Package
    • SR5 Upgrade Package
    • All Weather Floor Liners and Door Sill Protector Package
    • Audio Plus
    • Predator Steps
    • Spray-On Bedliner
    • MSRP $46,437
    • Discount $3,809
    • Doc Fee $280
    • DMV Fee $199
    • OTD $43,107
As previously stated, I only have one dealer here, however, having ZERO sales tax in Alaska was a huge plus.

Nice truck, I like the color.
Kendall dealers are sucks though, they are monopoly here in AK. I wish we would have some competition

    • Kendall Toyota
    • Kendall Lexus
    • Kendall Honda
    • Kendall Subaru
    • Kendall Ford
    • Kendall Volkswagen
    • Kendall Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram

I picked up my 2020 Tundra Platinum in Voodoo Blue last Friday for a fair deal

    2020 Tundra Platinum + moon roof + spray-on bedliner
    MSRP $54,849
    Invoice $50,370
My price was invoice + incentives (March incentive is $2,750 cash rebate)
Final price before TTL = $47,620

This price is easily achieved via the no-hassle Costco auto buying program. I'm sure it's possible to get a better price, but the no-hassle goes both ways, right?

I also got decent discounts on accessories, so added the OEM tonneau cover, bed mat, remote tailgate lock, TRD skid plate, TRD rear sway bar, all-weather floor mats, and Predator steps. Total MSRP for these accessories is ~$3370 and I got them at a no-hassle price of ~$2100.

If I were you, I’d go sign up with Costco if you are not already a member. At that point, utilize their online auto buying program to start the process of generating a quote from some local participating dealer. That local dealer may or may not have the actual truck you want, but they may be willing to trade another dealer to get it.

Once you have the quote, which should be something like invoice plus incentives, find a local dealer that has the truck you want and use your quote to get that price from them.

    PM’d for dealer info

well I got screaming good deal , no way was gonna buy a new truck after looking at a few out of control prices. Came across my 2018 on car guru's add just a few miles away. Within an hour I had bought it. It was like brand new with only 10,000 miles 2018 CM SR5 upgrade package , not leather but now I like the seats, has a trd shifter, factory spray on bed liner , folding tonneau cover, all weather mats front and back, plus an add on air filter . I covered the chrome emblems with toyota black outs and bought new tires and wheels and made it mine, 35,500 out the door with tax. There is no reason to buy a new truck , it paid off to have patience.

2016 DC Limited TRD package Graphite leather seats, has many options similar to 1794. 16.713 miles. Blazin Blue color. Paint is stunning. $34.600.00 put 22k down $290.60 payment. 4 year old truck that sat in someone’s garage, was traded in. Found on CarGurus.

This is best colour in my opinion. I love the cement colour so much. They didn't have any where I was so I rolled with black. Black is so hard to keep clean and shows scratches but looks good at night or 3 feet away.
