2016 SR5 TRD-Offroad CPO with at the time 36k miles for $32k in August of last year. Probably could have gotten a better deal had I shopped around but I'm impatient. Oh well.

2020 Platinum for $51k before TTL. Dealer installed tube steps for $650 and TRD dual exhaust for $1250. I could have gotten another $3k off, but I opted for the 0% for 60 months instead. I also considered installing the dual exhaust myself, but then I couldn't roll it into the 0%, and their installed price vs. the parts alone wasn't outrageous. Glad I bought when I did, only a few weeks later there were far fewer platinums available and now the 0% financing is gone.

For a Platinum with less than 30K miles I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Tax credit is given in a lot of states when you sell and buy from the same place. Essentially you only have to pay taxes on the difference between the two vehicle prices. In my case, the new vehicle cost less than the vehicle I sold them, so I paid zero in taxes.

Tundras have been quite the talk of some leasing forums. My 17 1500 Sierra Denali goes back end of June and deals were too good. Picked up a 2020 SR5 CM TRD off road 47,400 msrp for $270 a month $1k down 24 months /10k miles a year last week, loving it so far.

The State of Washington has a similar thing called used tax.

Essential it's better to trade it in then to sell it privately cause you get the taxes transferred to the new so you end up paying only the difference (towards tax) if the purchase vehicle cost more. Sometimes it's a wash.

Guys, please help me out. I’m looking for my first ever Tundra (currently F150). I have a deal in place for a 2020 Limited Crewmax in cavalry blue. Options include Trd Off-road pkg, Limited Premium pkg, spray bedliner, sunroof, and a few other things. They will let me have it for $50k OTD. Fair price for me? Or do I need to keep looking? Thank you for the guidance!

Just picked up a 2020 Limited CM, TRD OR package, Premium package, Sunroof, bedliner, predator steps, exhaust tip, Tundra tailgate letters, console tray, all weather floor mats. MSRP was 53700 and I paid 45600. Dealer was very reluctant to deal. It was like pulling teeth. I probably over paid for the truck but it was exactly what I wanted color and option wise and there wasn’t much else I liked within about a 4hr drive.
I had my Tacoma for 10 years and sold it back in March. Hopefully this Tundra is as good/reliable as that Tacoma was. So far I am impressed.

$36k for 2019 Limited Double Cab 4 x 4 with 24,000 miles. It had a couple of small scratches on the side and a ding in the front bumper that you don't notice unless you know it is there. Coronavirus special.

I was just quoted 42K new for a DC limited. I actually asked for a Crewmax quote and got all excited until I saw it was a DC. I really was thinking the DC would be a 39 or a 40K truck and was looking for 42-45K for a LTD Crewmax what with this being a 13 year old platform and dealers just now opening up in my state and needing to move vehicles. Now that I know the redesign is delayed and the proven powertrain will be around for a bit I figure I might as well wait until next year and see what prices look like.

I would like a new truck and I like the idea of a current gen Tundra but not enough right now to over-pay for 13 year old technology.

Was that an OTD price, or before ttl?

    That was before ttl.
I should have also added that this truck was on the lot before the shutdown. The salesman said that inventory is low because of production shutdowns this spring. I wanted a truck that was pre-shutdown as well. Probably my OCD kicking in.
Good luck! I hope your dealer is more willing to negotiate than mine was.

I just purchase my 2020 sr5 crew max 4wd (with bucket seats) for 42k out the door. I took the 2750 in rebates and not the financing and going to do a new car refinance through my credit union. I dealt with 4 dealers locally and the best I found for the same truck was around 46k otd. 50k out the door for a limited doesn’t sound too far off? I went with this instead of a used platinum or limited because there’s not much of a difference that I can’t add such as leather, shocks, wheels and tires etc. these things come loaded even at an sr5 with steel wheels. Keep in mind Toyota hasn’t manufactured vehicles in the past 3 months so the supply and demand is limiting dealer stock and them wanting to move on price. Note I’m in Phoenix.

Hello everyone, this is snomoman, this is my first reply to this site, I just drove home with my brand new 2020 SR5 Toyota that I bought yesterday. Believe it or not this is my first brand new vehicle purchase and I will be 63 next week, the base price for this vehicle was $34,450 including the $2500 rebate, sales tax, delivery and doc charges were added after that figure,
It has four-wheel-drive, extended cab, towing package, bench seats, 5.7 V8, color is cement. Was it a good deal?
