This does not escape me, however I am basically between a rock and a hard place. I am in the market now, and this is what is available. I considered leasing but I can't wrap my head around paying 'that much' to have nothing in the end. Ram, Chevy, Ford, Nissan all have a decade of history that prevent me from buying them so what's a guy to do! LOL

Leasing is the least stupid option if you absolutely know you're holding cars or a few years or only holding for a few years this time around, but is less sensible than buying and holding for several years. And not financially smart to do it just for the sake of a lower payment and nothing else.

Several years ago when we were buying a house and my wife was buying a car she went from an Acura TSX to a Camry to leave money for the house in the budget. She acted "OK" with it but I should have read between the lines and seen that she wouldn't be happy with it in the long term. Really wanted to be back in an Acura but she 'settled.' She tried to act excited about it for a few years but then Traded for a new TLX 3 years later. Had I properly read the tea leaves I'd have told her to hold her downpayment cash, lease to get the lowest possible payment, walk away in 3 years and buy what she really wanted.

Every truck doesn’t have a bad turbo or QC issues so MSRP is fair at this time IMO.

If you have the money and it’s worth it to you, it’s not overpaying. Everything is relative, and those won’t be the same for everyone.
