What is that? Is that something that can be adjusted? I thought it was just the way the transmissions work???

Sequential Shifting mode is what happens when you move the shifter to the Left, in order to choose the gear, YOU know is best for different speeds, loads and road conditions. Transmission Techs (if they're honest) will tell you one of the best ways to heat up transmission fluid, is to allow the transmission to constantly shift up and down, which doesn't allow for Torque Converter lock-up.

Mine is on the column. Drop it into drive, then drop one more time into sequential mode.

Sequential Mode - I refer to that as the sport shift mode, I didn't make the connection. I use it all the time coming down the mountain on my way home to save the brakes.

227,000 miles. Changed original plugs this week. Could have probably set the gap and reinstalled them. My boss has a 5.7 with 280k+ miles with original plugs. 20181109_142006.jpg

Just to comment on the lineage. My 1997 Toyota T100, 4WD with the 3.4 liter V6 has 260,000 miles on it and the drive train is every bit as good as when it was new.
