Well i bought mine brand new paid it off in exactly 2 years. Have quite a few mods done also. Truck currently has 43k on it and is about 2.5 years old. I figure i will have it for a total of 10+ years that was my initial plan and i dont see that changing unless my needs change. Next on the list will be to get the wife a 4runner she has wanted one for quite a while.

I’m keeping mine until my son is old enough to drive then give it to him while hopefully during that time years from now there would be a badass new tundra pro and I would gladly get one.

My plan is to keep the truck for as long as possible. My Avalon was bought in 03' (now my daughters), my Sequoia in 01' and my current daily driver. With that in mind, I want the Tundra to last at least 15 years.... maybe longer. By then I'll be in my 70's and (hopefully) won't give a crap! Part of the reason I went Toyota with my truck. I like a good return on my investment.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
As long as there are no major mechanical failures or wrecks, then I will likely keep mine until 2026, I should be right around 330k miles by then.
I am a Cheap ass and proud of it. Actually others refer to me as a "cheap ass", I prefer to refer to myself as frugal.

I got $4500 in Mods in mine but if the 2019 redesign is solid, I will be trading it in.

Got two years of payments left at the current rate, which means I'll be 6-12 months ahead of when it should be paid off. I likely will keep it at least 5 years past that at minimum. Would love to buy another Tundra, preferably a CM, at some point after this ones paid off.

Deep inside I'm thinking about a 4runner TRD Pro. My wife has an SR5 Premium and it's just so nice to drive. Doesn't have nearly the balls of my Tundra though. =\

I'm assuming you have no more payments to make, as mine is paid in full as well.

Intend to keep mine for the long haul. No need for me to trade up regardless of how nice the next gen may be. I should have mine paid off in the next 2 yrs and would much rather put money into getting a fast, fun car instead of restarting payments on a truck. It helps I only put around 9k a year on mine.

I've got a 2005 double cab with 150,000kms on it. I really like it however....I like the 3rd gen Tundras better. LOL. I could afford payments on a new truck, but my sensible side is winning out. Better to keep the paid for truck as long as possible while saving up for a new one. Once I hit 300,000kms on my 05, I'll be seriously looking for a new one. Should be around 2019 - 2020 at my current rate, especially if I get in the long distance fishing trips I'm planning in the next couple years.

That said, unless I have serious need for cash I'll be hanging onto the old truck anyways. Gonna trick it right out as a hunting/fishing truck so my new baby doesn't get beat on right away. LOL

Gotta try to break the 494,000km record I set with my 94 Toyota pickup. :D

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
8 to 9 years for me. If I can get 9 years that will be good for my son. In 9 years he will be 16 and he can have my truck

Well I decided I like the one I have too much, so today I ordered complete Katskins leather, seat heaters and the shop is going to add padding and electric lumbar to the co-pilots seat.

My wife and i have a plan to never have two vehicle payments at one time, and her car is doing quite well presently. So i could see 15+ yrs for the Tundra, outside something going wrong. I had my Tacoma for ten years and was planning to keep it much longer but a local mech "had" to have it, and we were not making any vehicles payments at the time so i got bumped up on the schedule. I am a kind of person who really likes to keep my stuff for a really long time if at all possible. I try and make wise purchases, and feel with a little information have done so. Sorry for being so looong winded

If I continued my normal pattern I would have gotten rid of it last year lol. I’ve owned it three years and that’ll be my longest owned/driven car. Owned my GTO three years also but two of those I was in college so only drove it once a month, if that, when I went home.

I would LOVE to trade for a third gen TRD Cement crew max but it’s not worth the money just to satisfy a “want” right now.

I will keep mine as long as I possibly can...that is until I buy an Airstream and have the need for increased payload. That won’t be for at least 5 years. I’m hoping, probably wasting my time, that one day Toyota will make a 3/4 ton Tundra with a turbo-diesel, but I’ll unfortunately likely have to switch over to a GM/Ford. I really feel like Toyota is missing out on a large market of RVers who need more than 1200lbs payload.

My household runs under a remarkably similar system. My wife and I keep our vehicles at least 10 years...usually longer. So I'm glad I like my new to me trucking. Will still be driving it in 2027, at least.

I had my 2000 Tundra for almost 11 years. I plan on keeping my 2014 for at least that long. I'm hoping for a service life of 15ish years.

As long as the stars align properly I will be keeping mine just long enough to give it to my son. He is 5. The wife's Camry is going to our daughter and she is 7. The realistic plan is that the Tundra stays until it can no longer tow whatever trailer I just purchased. However, according to a popular commercial this thing can tow a space shuttle so with that and either a huge house reno project/new house purchase just a few years off the Tundra is here for the long haul.

Had it almost a year now. Will likely drop it a little before the new tundra comes out in a few years. Not sure what I'll get. Probably another sports car.
