We just bought a 2018 used. Our last tundra lasted us 150,000 and 10 years, until it was 15 years old.
So I figure until about 200k on the odo or 15 years old, whichever comes first.

I’m am a recovering caraholic. I take it day by day. I wish I can keep a rig for 2 years let alone 15 years. I have owned 42 vehicles and the addiction is still going strong. I have a 2020 and I owe nothing on it nor do I have debts yet I keep pricing new rigs and seeing what’s out there. I don’t go on expensive vacations, I don't drink, I don’t buy anything else and I only have one wife and one house.

I’m on a 21 step program and have a sponsor I can call should I try to sneak out to the dealer or linger around the latest car show. So far I have been good. But I stay away from dealerships, auctions or anywhere where motor vehicles are sold. Pray for me as I need it. I am truly blessed and god has been good to me.

Kids if you are reading this, DONT READ CAR MAGAZINES. I use to work at a car wash as a kid and since then I read pretty much anything that has to do with engines and got hooked. Anyway, this is my confession and part of my therapy.

PS: I know I’m not the only one with this rare disease, so lets not pretend.

I just bought a 2017. Hopeful to get 200,000 miles out of it. The only reason I got rid of my 2003 with 210,000 miles was frame rust which was partly my fault.

Doesn't matter what I say, somehow, it will change. I love it but I owe way more then its worth. I'm guessing that means I will have it for at least 5 years... :)

In a few years when it’s paid off. I’ll probably only have 60k miles by then. Then I’ll get an electric truck. I’m not brand loyal; that’s the future.

Kept my 2007 Limited until 3 months ago and got a true 447,000 miles out of it. Never turned a bolt on the engine but put a used transmission in it with 425,000 miles on it. Got a new 2019 4x4 TRD Sport three months ago...……...plan to keep it for at least 250,000!

Mine said the same thing but I agree with her i will most likely keep it till it’s not cost effective to keep it anymore

Until it's costing me more money to keep it on the road vs selling. Hopefully 15+ yrs.

I’m keeping this 19 dc, but I’ll buy a cm of the redesigned truck in like the third year of it’s production.

    My oh my
i-Force Max engine, though it has long been rumored that the upcoming Tundra, due to appear in 2021 (possibly as a 2022 model), will make use of a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 hybrid setup sourced from the Lexus line. Power is expected to the tune of 450 hp and 500 lb-ft
