I haven’t used them either. We usually just pay outright or Apple Care. Our luck, every time it is expired by 2 days.

yup... depends on the individual phone, but particularly with iPhones you usually spend less overall by buying outright and reselling when you upgrade vs. leasing

    Too many to list
I would rather buy refurbished with one year warranty from the manufacture than a new one. It’s already depreciated. Save more that way.

Here's myP_20180331_123147.jpg Android turbo ll, absolutely love it it's so fast and battery capacity is amazing can work all day and still have 40% left with internet activity and so on unfortunately stopped making it people were not attracted to it. Is over 2 years old and starting to do weird stuff so actually today tomorrow next day I'm trading you in for the S9 Plus period has 6 Gigabytes, we'll see how the battery is they always say they're great. And has phenomenal camera forward and rear and has been quoted as being very smooth and efficiently quick

    iPhones have the highest resale.

Without getting into iPhone vs Android, it's personal preference, respect for both.

I have never subsidized a phone. Where I am, we get locked into a contract for 2y doing that, then you still pay the same monthly price even though you own the phone by then.

So I just buy them outright and pay a low monthly fee year after year. In fact I put my kid on a cheap tablet plan, she gets 3GB/month and can make calls/text over data with her iPhone 6.

Like I said, mine was a no-brainer upgrade for me. My X (2017) is night and day better than my 6+ (2014). OLED screen, better processor, better resolution, better camera, can shoot 4K video, bigger screen, and yet a smaller footprint in my pocket. I shoot sports photography, and shoot/tweet video FB scores/highlights to news stations if need be, and with my X it does really good, rain or shine. Love it.......9B5E9229-B9E0-4E59-8856-27921A454A11.jpg

I’m ok spreading the payment over 24 months for these reasons.

    1. It helps me keep my phone longer
    2. I’m with Verizon and have no plans to change due to the fact they IMO have the best coverage and I’ve tried all the others
    3. Interest free so why not.

Had a Turbo II till the charging port failed, really liked. New phone for about 6-8 months now, S8 like it better than Turbo II. betting S9 is really nice.

my wife and I have iPhone 6 and just waiting for the new ones to be released in a couple of months to get new ones. We have ATT and the deals are pretty stupid with the buy one get one...the catch is you need a new line of service but most of the companies cater to new subscribers anyways

We keep our phones for about 3 years. Always get AppleCare and about a week before AC expires I take the phones in for Apple to check the batteries. After 2 years the batteries typically don't pass their tests so they replace the batteries and we are good for another year.

I Lit up the Verizon rep for the scam they are pulling. It wasn’t fully disclosed at all.
Obviously they don’t give two shits about the average joe but I will not forget.

Don’t feel too terribly scammed. That’s really just another one of the things they all have in common, blindfold consumers and ram hot iron fire pokers in the.....

I usually keep the same phone until it either breaks or won't hold a charge anymore.

I just can't see spending a grand for something that I'll probably break or leave behind somewhere (us oldsters sometimes do that). So, I just buy them outright and have pretty much stuck with the Moto G's since they first came out. They're cheap and they work well for what I need a phone to do.

I feel the same way about phones.

Couple days ago I went and purchased an iPhone SE. Small, compact, light, and it didn’t cost me a nut to purchase.

I bought an iPhone 6 used off swappa in 2015 and then got an iPhone 8+ in November of 2017. Wanted to stay until 2018 with the 6 but Costco was giving me $300 for it (16gb) at the time which was sort of insane for that phone because most were selling in the low $200s

I also had a substantial apple gift card I was able to use so I got the 8+ at a good price.

To me, I just like the size of the 8+ because I have larger hands that’s why I decided with this instead of biting the bullet for the X. Do not anticipate switching phones for 3 years now.

I'm still on a 4S, got it when they first came out around 6 years ago. I'd like an X but mine still works just fine so I am reluctant to buy one. It's past the ios upgrade support life and there are a few apps that wont run on it but I don't / didn't use those apps much anyway. I'll probably have to upgrade within a year or so as more and more apps fall off.
