Greetings All! I "ordered" my 2017 CM Limited TRD the first week of December and am still waiting for delivery. The date just got pushed back to 2/16. The itch is getting bad.....

If you "ordered" yours, how long did you wait?

I waited over 3 months...got the run a round from the salesman...no updates, crappy communication, no paperwork...was told a certain date and that went by and at that point i think is when they actually ordered the truck. I would walk up to the counter and be ignored even when there were 4 salesmen standing 10 feet away telling jokes. So i got tired of waiting and canceled the truck and ordered thru a different dealer about an hour away. Still pisses me off when i think about it. Im a no bullshit kind of guy.

I bet your truck got pushed back due to the recent recall. Being its a limited it would need the new rear bumper bracket, assuming you have rear sonar. I have a new 1794 sitting at the dealer and I can't pick it up until the recall has been performed.

Welcome Paul. Yea, I bet the bumper fix is what's holding up the delivery.

I just ordered a 2017 Limited Crewmax on 19 January. Was told it would be delivered the first week of March. They even gave me a temporary VIN number, and a soft copy of the window sticker. The reason I had to order one is that I could not find one with the combination of colors and package options I wanted. For those of you who ordered one, did you get a temporary VIN number and copy of the window sticker?

I had to put a $1,000 deposit when I ordered. But I made them give me a statement in writing that my deposit would be refunded in full if they couldn't deliver the vehicle by 1 April.

Also - regarding the recall -- I went on Toyota.com, and it said the recall for the bumper problem was only for production through December 2016. This implies to me that they have already corrected the problem on the production line. They are still working on a solution to fix the ones already produced.

I did get a temporary VIN and window sticker as well. Was told I'd get the actual VIN when production began. I was the same, couldn't find a Limited with TRD and black leather around here. I think I screwed myself when I added the sunroof option from the factory.

I did not have to put anything down and am talking to the dealer now about finding an already built Platinum or 1794. Maybe this long wait is a sign to just go all in.

NC_Nole - also, note that today is the last day for the $1,000 incentive from Toyota. I guess we'll find out tomorrow if it will be renewed for February, but if you have concerns about that, you might want to try to close on a deal today!

I ordered my 2017 Tundra Platinum 4x4 in late September of 2016 and was told about a 3 to 4 months wait. Then they called me saying they have a recall on some tundra models and mines is one of them. I guess I have to wait a little bit longer, they said if I wanted any of the SR5s on the lot.....NO thanks I'll wait for the MGM platinum since I waited already 4 months.

I waited 2 months then gave up and bought a truck from different dealership where they had one in stock.

I ordered mine the end of August and I picked it up the end of November. It was almost exactly 3 months. My salesman kept me updated weekly and was great to work with!

My ordered just got pushed back again. Cancelled it, flew to MD and got a Platinum MGM for almost the same as the Limited. Yahtzee!

To update my earlier posting (number 7 in this thread), my Tundra was built Saturday February 11, and is on its way to my dealership, expected arrival early March. They even gave me the updated (real/permanent) VIN number. So - my order is proceeding just as the dealer said it would, so far.

Was yours built recently? If it was built this month (February) or last month (January), it shouldn't be affected by the recall. The recall was only for production through late December, 2016 (Assuming you are referring to the bumper bracket problem). You can confirm this by plugging in your VIN number on the Toyota website to verify. I did this today with my Tundra that was built on February 11, and it is not in the recall.

I'm in Tennessee and went to MD to get my Tundra. Buying here the wait was to be 4 months and had to settle for a flex fuel engine at that. Had to go out of my region to get the non flex. Dealer just outside D. C. had the exact truck I was looking for. I wanted a 2017 SR5 DC, MGM, SR5 upgrade package, black interior, TRD Offroad package........no more - no less. I also paid much less than I would have local.
