I paid 45 grand for my 19 Pro. How are cats 1/5 of the price of the entire truck?

I’m not super familiar with the underside of my Pro. I’ve seen other posts where they say they needed to cut the guard to make it fit with their skid plate. Did you have to get yours cut for the Pro skid?

Not sure yet, wont have the plate until either tomorrow or monday. Will know more then, but I am letting the dealership fight it, they have the lift, let them figure it out. Esp if they are going to start stocking them, this will let them see whats involved.

    TEXAS!
i was shocked when i saw the estimate, and very glad it's covered under comprehensive.

i am sure with after market stuff, i could get it done for less.

geico is fitting the bill, and they didn't push back. i am sure at least several of the ones getting stolen across the country are covered by geico. with genuine toyota parts, they felt it was fair.

new manifolds on each side, new cats on each side, other pipe assemblies, gaskets, labor, etc...

If you look at the parts diagram, you have to get the pipe with both cats in it. They come as assemblies for each side more or less.

    It’s on

the tech drilled 2 holes instead of cutting slots for the rear bolts of the trd skid plate and used them as pass thru holes

looks great. He said it was a bitch to drill lol

This may be for a different thread but I wanted to mention it here.
I just spoke to KW and he gave me a heads up to go ahead and replace at least one of the door bolts with security torx as well. Says stealing the doors is becoming quite a thing too! KW is two weeks out as of right now on the skid plates, but I found them at Don McGill in Katy and will be picking mine up this afternoon!

I beleive some guys are getting the torx tip anti-tamper bolts with them. The problem is that you can get those torx bits just about anywhere. Spot weld the plate to the frame maybe??

The plate screws are deterrents, if someone wants it bad enough they will find a way to get it.

With this plate your average cat thief will look and move on to a easier target. Well we hope anyway.

    Fuck what do I know.

Even with the DE plate the rear cats are probably still accessible enough to get to them. Especially the back right cat because there’s nothing around it.
