I have a setup but I loan it to a partner (SE-TX_Toyo) in Navasota if you're willing to drive there and use it? What model is your Tundra?

Any good ceramic shop or person in Houston for a reasonable / fair price but get the job done right?

Is ceramic actually worth it? My truck is not garaged unfortunately and I want to preserve it as much as I can....

I’ve heard you still need to wash your truck once a week. That alone disqualify me.

I am not sure about the weekly wash, but I wouldn't do it during the pollen season, and during pollen season, I might risen the truck as needed, just too much damn pollen under the tree where I park....

About time. There was a few near me at one time and I was tempted to take my kids there (they love cars, just shinny and all, not necessary the details we have, but hey, they are 5 & 8) but just thinking of the possible accidents with muscle cars, nah, I will stay home....
I drove a Challenger one time as a rental car, it was fun, nice, and full of power. But reckless and putting other people's life on the line is not what I call

One more reason to miss downtown this afternoon.

    Downtown for today, NOPE.
I agreed to a 7:30a - 4p work schedule because all of my team are in HQ in NJ, and my counter team is in Germany, so if I get in by 8:30a, which is a bitch already, Germany would have been almost 2:30pm, and their brains shut down around 4p, so I will be very pressed to catch up with them.

But man, lately drive from Cypress to 8/Westheimer hasn't been that bad in the morning, minus traffic light went out or major accident on beltway 8, it is pretty slick and moving.
The drive home at 4pm on the other hand, wtf is going on? The 4p is now the 5p traffic rush or something? It will take me maybe 30 mins from my driveway to the company's parking garage in the morning, a full hour in the afternoon to get home.....

I need a new job, somewhere closer to home or just wfh already...damn it.
I love driving, but it has to move, not sitting in traffic.

I work in the med center a few times a month still and it is the same thing for me.

if I don’t get out at 230 I generally volunteer to stay till 630 because traffic will go from an 1:15 to 45 min.

I mean, with the conditions of the roads? It's off-road every damn day for sure. I have gotten so used to moving left here and right there and miss this lane here due to the conditions.....
Right, and you had think that they would make it better because of the additional traffic, NOPE.
I avoid going downtown at all cost now, except Saturday if the kids want to go to the zoo, and even that, I go extra early, parking for the zoo is insane as well....

I swear ppl get off at 3 these days. By 3:30, bumper to bumper heading north on 45. It seems like there are more cars going north than south in the AM.
My wife works in O&G and she has the opportunity to make way more dough with a bigger outfit but it would require her to drive into Houston 3x a week. She won't do it lol

I have the luxury of working from 5am to 2pm-ish...so I generally miss traffic.

However, when I do have to drive in it, I am reminded of the general decay in human society.

most of today's young folk can't do basic math problems...yet, can drive down the FREEWAY whilst simultaneously interacting with social media on their phone.
It's incredible what we choose to educate society in.
We can teach them to efficiently navigate a highly sophisticated hand held computer, yet they can't read, write or do math.

I'll be on the lake this weekend.

    Yea, anything inside 610 is a hard-no.
A few years back (more than 5) I worked in a food industry warehouse east of DT and we start at 7a, so I usually get up at 5 and leave before 530a (I was by Bellaire & 8 at that time) and just get there by 630a-ish. The amount of traffic on I-10 by 5 mins can make or kill your commute. The worst part? Cross-over 45/10/59/69, almost never a day without an accident or some shithead trying to make a very last minute merge that requires everyone else to slam on the brakes at 6am in the morning. But I do get off at 3p, and if I don't get delayed, I beat the traffic and can see it in my rear view mirror as I race home from there.....

Wife and I were looking at houses yesterday, we need something bigger, around 3000 sq ft, newer (under 5 years) and those are coming up half a mil, and HOA can be over $3k a year..... yea, nope. Oh, and some of those are outside 99......
Now I am thinking that Sealy parcel land was too good a deal that I let pass......
